Jim Caviezel who many know from his role in, "The Passion of the Christ," had a powerful message while promoting his latest movie, "Paul, Apostle of Christ." He encouraged us all to set ourselves apart from the corruption around us and strive to be Saints! Enjoy his message here

The Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade classes attended a production of "Peter and the Wolf." A field trip is always the highlight of the week!

SPRING GALA

This week the PTO will be wrapping up all sponsorships! We kindly ask that all sponsorships be turned in by March 21st (please submit to the office).
We will go to print by Friday!
For those families who have participated thus far, a HUGE Comet THANK YOU!
We cannot pull off this Gala without everyone's help.

The PTO raises money to fund projects around the school, textbooks, and mostly to add to our teacher endowment fund which offsets teacher expenses for obtaining continuing education credits.
We thank you so very much in advance for your consideration in sponsoring this important and fun-filled event.
See everyone April 14th at the Gala!

Spring Gala tickets are still available. Prices are $50/person or $85/couple and you can beat the price bump before the kids come home for spring break. After March 29, prices increase to $55/person and $90/couple. Keep in mind that the success of our Spring Gala is what allows us to AVOID selling wrapping paper/cookie dough/raffle tickets/candles/etc. On top of that, it's truly a fun night with great food, music, and socializing with your fellow SBCS parents (and did we mention no wrapping paper to sell?). Pay by cash, check, or FACTS with the attached  ticket order form , or pay online by visiting our school  website.

In addition to sponsorships, we are actively soliciting items for the Gala’s Live and Silent Auctions as well as items to be included in the Class Baskets. We are asking parents to PLEASE take a look at the sign up genius located here . This sign up list is a compilation of local businesses who have donated to the Gala within the last two years. If you have connections with any of these businesses, please consider approaching them on our behalf to donate again this year. Please be sure to turn in any donated items ASAP! Items MUST be turned in by 3/23. Items can be turned in to the school office. Please use the following links to print off copies of the Business Donation Letter and Silent Auction Donation Form. Please give these two documents to the businesses you approach as they give specific details about the Gala and important tax information as well as tracking information for SBCS. If you need hard copies of these documents, please email Annie Cooper at  [email protected] .

PARISH TICKET SALES
Parish ticket sales will be available after masses on March 24th and 25th. We need 2 volunteers at each Mass (5:30 pm, 8:30 am and 11 am) to sell tickets and answer questions. Since there is a chance of taking in money, the volunteers for each shift will need to be unrelated. Please email Jennifer, [email protected] if you can help.

LUNCH SERVICE
It is now time for the 2nd grade parent volunteers  to take charge! There’s nothing better than taking a mid-day break, and getting the chance to see your shining  COMETS !
Please go this link in order to sign up . Remember that 2nd grade parents  are responsible for filling the positions for the month of  March , but even if you do not have a child in 2nd grade,  WE WOULD STILL LOVE TO HAVE YOU!

SPRING CLEAN UP
Our Spring clean up day will take place on Saturday, March 24 from 9:00am- 12:00pm. Please bring your own gloves and tools. You may bring students if they are willing to lend a hand. We have lots to do, including mulch, planting, weeding and pruning shrubs. This is a great way to lend a hand and pick up some volunteer hours! Sign up here if you plan to attend.
Saint Benedict Players Present, "Macbeth"

The Saint Benedict Players will present their final production of the school year, "Macbeth," on Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24 at 7pm. Although this is a shortened version, all of the famous quotes and intrigue of the original will be in evidence. This event is FREE! Come out to see the cast beguile you with the tragic story of the King of Scotland.
