DIRECTOR'S REPORT

Band Cake Breakfast was a huge success raising over $20k for the band and bringing our community together for music and great food. Thank you to the Grub Team and many parent volunteers that helped to make the event possible. Special thanks to event chair Jen Gable for stepping up to help make sure everything came together on the big day.

Our final concerts are next week and we hope to see many of you in the audience to support our amazing musicians. Each concert will be a reasonable length and feature a mix of some of our CMEA festival music and new music, too. In addition, awards will be given to recognize the contributions of several individual students.

THANK YOU for making BANDCAKE a SUCCESS!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make our Bandcake Breakfast—our annual spring fundraiser—such a tremendous success!

Thank you to our amazing band students for their fantastic performances that filled the morning with music and spirit.
Thank you to our generous community for showing up in a big way—buying breakfast, raffle tickets, bidding in the auction, and raising paddles to support our band program.
Thank you to our wonderful donors—local businesses, AVHS, and families—who contributed items, services, and more.
Thank you to our fearless Band Directors for dressing up and singing karaoke—all in the name of fundraising and fun!
Thank you to our Grub Masters and Grub Team for prepping and cooking a delicious breakfast that kept everyone fueled and happy.
Thank you to our donation helpers – Khim Yang, Vivian Shum, Emmeline Chen, and Rajani Suryanarayan – for knocking on doors to get some amazing auction items.
Huge thanks to our Bandcake Committee members – Soojin Hwang, Sienna Lee, Kathleen Leung, and our incredible Chair, Jen Gable – for organizing, planning, and bringing it all together!

Because of you, Bandcake was not only a fundraiser—it was a celebration of music, community, and heart. Thank you!

2025 Senior Ball Corsages and Boutonnières

Senior Ball is just around the corner! If you haven't ordered your corsages and boutonnières you're in luck!! Amador Friends of Music is offering beautiful, custom, professionally made corsages and boutonnieres. Buy from AFM and pay less than most shops with ALL proceeds going to AFM.

Order Here - quantities are limited. Order deadline is 10 pm Tuesday, May 20th. Pick up at Amador on the morning of Senior Ball (May 24) between 11am and 12pm in the front parking lot near drop off.

AFM General Meeting Date Change

May 19th, 2025 7-8pm

The last Amador Friends of Music General Meeting will be held on May 19, 2025, 7pm-8pm, via video.

At this meeting:

-Amador Music directors will recap this year and share what they have in store for next year

-The 2025-26 AFM Proposed Budget will be ratified

-Donation ask amounts for the new school year will be announced.

Marching Band Color Guard SPRING WORKSHOP!

All students who are interested in joining AV Marching Band and Color Guard are invited to the spring workshops! New members, returning members, 8th grade to 11th. Come!! Let's Go Marching Dons!!

PERCUSSION: Mondays May 5, May 12, May 19; 5-8:30 pm

GUARD: Fridays May 9, 16, 23; 5-7 pm
