Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman announced the launch of the Rt. 1 Corridor Master Plan , Howard County’s new planning initiative for Route 1. A nationally known economic, planning, and real estate consultancy, RKG Associates will lead this effort that will activate transportation, infrastructure, land use and economic development implementation strategies to improve vibrancy and livability throughout the Route 1 corridor.

A Community Comes Together: The Opioid Epidemic

The opioid epidemic continues to shatter lives in the Washington region, and communities are coming together to try to combat it. Anne Arundel County is stepping up its response, with schools, libraries, churches, health centers, fire and police stations, the courts, and grassroots groups all pitching in to prevent overdoses and provide access to addiction treatment.

Join WAMU 88.5’s Kojo Nnamdi for a townhall-style discussion about how the crisis is being felt in Anne Arundel County and what the community is doing in response. This is the first event in a series of community discussions to mark Kojo’s 20th anniversary.

This beautiful publication is a premier source for information on our region and all the businesses in the chamber.

Copies of the guide will be mailed and hand delivered to all members in the chamber. In addition, over 3,500 copies will be disseminated throughout our communities and placed at key locations.
