Principal's Message

Dear St. Philip Neri Families,

Fall is definitely my favorite season. I love the weather, the mix of cool and warm, the autumn colors, and the celebrations and traditions. Today we celebrated the feast of St. Francis of Assisi with a prayer service for Blessing the Animals. Fr. Paul blessed photos of animals, stuffed animals, and live animals who were so well behaved outside the gates. We will also begin praying the Rosary at morning assembly during October, the month of the Rosary. Finally, we will end the month with Halloween festivities followed by All Saints and All Souls Day at the beginning of November.

I also love Fall because it is the beginning of another school year; the start of another year’s journey of learning and growing for our students and for us. This week’s Parent-Teacher-Student conferences will affirm the school and family partnership that supports student learning throughout the year. Thank you for making the time to meet with us to provide a solid foundation for your children to thrive in their classes.

Finally, thank you for reading the newsletters and keeping up with school events and announcements. We depend on everyone’s participation and cooperation to help our programs run smoothly and successfully. Honk, honk, honk!

Warmly,

Ms. Thomas

October Rosary Prayer Volunteers

October is the Month of the Rosary. The Student Leadership Council will lead the morning assembly in the prayers of the Rosary during the month of October. Alyssa and Kaleb from SLC would like volunteers from grades 3-8 to help them lead the prayers at morning assembly. If a student wants to volunteer to lead the Hail Mary for the school, they can sign up before school near the double doors.
