Celebrating Catholic Schools Week

Happy Catholic Schools Week! What a gift it is to celebrate the very heart and soul of our school’s mission—its faith!

I was grateful to be able to attend Holy Mass at 9AM yesterday here at the Church of Saint Agnes to thank our parishioners and families for their support of the parish school in their gifts of time, talent, and treasure. I was especially impressed to see so many of our families and students present at the Mass; it was a terrific witness to the vitality of our school for our parish.

In addition to the alternative dress days for our Lower School, annual Eucharistic Procession through each classroom on Thursday, and other Catholic Schools Week traditions and activities, we'll have a Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit on display tomorrow for our students. This exhibit is inspired by the same displays created by Blessed Carlo Acutis (who will be canonized a saint later in this jubilee year).

Please join me in praying for the continued success of our school and fellow Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul & Minneapolis--that we may continue to lead in our Church and set the world on fire with love for God and neighbor.

Dr. Michael Adkins, Dean of Academics, is pleased to announce the 2024-25 Semester One Honor Roll:

2024-25 Semester One Honor Roll

Congratulations to all those students who’ve earned a spot! For students in grades 7-12 who earned a spot on the Honor Roll, a certificate will be provided to you soon.

At Saint Agnes School, our goal is that every student achieves the maximum capacity of his or her God-given potential.

Students in grades 7-12 earn a place on the Honor Roll in the following ways:

·    Semester GPA of 3.00-3.32 = Honor Roll

·    Semester GPA of 3.33-3.66 = Dean's List

·    Semester GPA of 3.67-above = Headmaster's List

The criteria for Academic Honors and qualifying for a letter in Academics are as follows:

First Letter (Academics Patch - Book or Lamp):

·    2 consecutive semesters of Headmaster's (formerly Principal's) List (3.67 GPA and above)

·    3 consecutive semesters of Dean's List (3.33-3.66 GPA)

·    4 consecutive semesters of Honor Roll (3.00-3.32 GPA)

Subsequent Letters (Bar Patch):

·    1 semester of Dean's List or higher

Visit our website to see patch examples and where to purchase them for letter jackets under Academics and “Awards and Honors” tabs. Please note that letter patches are not provided by the school.

Saint Agnes Craft Club

The 4-12 grade girls Craft Club is looking for a few parent volunteers who would be willing to help prep the craft supplies for new projects. This would entail a few hours of work and could be done at home. We are also looking for donations for some future projects. If you have cotton fabric, embroidery floss, yarn, crochet hooks, or knitting needs collecting dust at your house we would love to put it to good use! Contact Sr. Incarnata if you are interested in helping prep materials or donating old supplies.

From the Admissions Office

We are currently accepting applications for all grade levels for the 2025-26 school year, most especially Preschool, Kindergarten, and 9th Grade.
