Weekly Newsletter

January 5, 2023

SIGN-UP FOR STAR AND AR EMAIL UPDATES: Click here to see how to sign-up for STAR (Early Literacy, Reading and/or Math) and Accelerated Reader email updates for your child(ren) through Home Connect. Students will be taking STAR assessments next week. Please sign-up by this Sunday, January 8th to receive their results through email.

STUDENT TUITION AND REGISTRATION POLICY: Please read over our updated policy. The new policy states that if a student withdraws after June 1st, tuition owed equals 1/3 of the student tuition owed by the family for the upcoming school year. Since we have waitlists at multiple grade levels, this allows us to fill those classes at the start of June, instead of later in the summer when most prospective families have already found a different school. Of course, our first choice is to keep all of our current families! Please reach out to the administration team at any time if you have questions or concerns.

SAFE PARISH BULLETIN: There is a new online training due by Friday, January 20, 2023, to stay up to date to volunteer or to coach. Go to http://AoCSafeEnvironment.org/.

CEF TUITION ASSISTANCE GRANTS: The Catholic Education Foundation for the Archdiocese will again be offering tuition assistance grants for the 2023-2024 school year. Click here for more information. The deadline to apply is February 3, 2023.

CHARACTER STRONG:  This month is all about Perseverance. One way to think about Perseverance is “pushing yourself through challenges and obstacles.” We all experience challenges in our lives. We all have moments when we feel like we can’t do it or that we want to give up on a big task. It is important to develop tools that help us work through those challenges in order to grow in those moments instead of giving up. How might you practice Perseverance as a family this month?

Perseverance is 1 of 3 traits we will focus on throughout the year that helps students Be Strong. Throughout the school, students will be developing skills like focusing, organizing, and goal-setting.

YOUCAT CONNECTION AND MEMORY VERSE:  This week's memory verse - Galatians 6:9 - And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

YouCAT: Check out page 79. What does Robert Spaemen say about God’s persistent love?

Boosters' Updates

All Saints/ St. Vincent Spring Soccer Registration (1st-8th grade) is OPEN!!

Register at: https://clubs.bluesombrero.com/allsaintsstvincent

We are a school-based soccer club including players from the school parishes of All Saints and St. Vincent Ferrer. Currently we offer programs for the following levels: Passers (1st & 2nd Grade), Wings (3rd & 4th Grade), Strikers (5th & 6th Grade). Teams will be organized by age, and assigned in early March. Practices are typically held T-W-Th evenings, at the St Vincent Ferrer campus. Although the registration asks for a birth certificate copy, BIRTH CERTIFICATES ARE NOT REQUIRED!!

REGISTRATION CLOSES ON 1/20/2023.

Teams will include a combination of grades (1st and 2nd), (3rd and 4th), etc. Our league requires that the teams are balanced by age. In some instances AS and SVF kids will be combined to form a team. When possible, we will have independent teams based on school. All of the formation will be based on the number of our player participants.

The Kickers (7th & 8th Grade) program is under development. We have opened registration with No Cost. Interested players will likely be referred to neighboring districts (Madeira and Indian Hill) for team formation.

We also host an in-house instructional soccer program. Registration will open on March 1st and close by March 31st. We have a limit of 60 players. Our soccer program is hosted on Monday nights at St. Vincent Ferrer School. Generally speaking, we will start the program at late-April and end the program in late May.

This program is open to Kindergarten students at All Saints and St. Vincent Ferrer (Fall 2022 enrollment), and those pre-K aged kids that expect to enroll by the Fall of 2023. We do not accept players below this age range. Parents can sign-up to be volunteers for our program through this website as well.
