Parent Survey – Fall 2024
We are administering a survey to parents/guardians to get a sense of your experience of Saint Agnes School. The anonymous survey seeks feedback on your expectations of the school, its various programs, and your assessment of our performance in various key areas of the school’s mission. The survey also offers opportunities for open-ended feedback. Our hope is to get a high participation rate of at least one survey completed for every household. We appreciate your feedback and thank you in advance for participating!

Inclement Weather School Closing/Delay Protocol & Notifications
As temperatures begin to drop, we would like to remind you of school procedures as they pertain to school closings and delays due to inclement weather:
We will make every effort to decide our status on any given day by 6:00 AM and post our status by 6:15 AM. We will give primary consideration to road/travel conditions, and we will most often err on the side of having school. We understand that families come from a variety of different cities, and weather and road conditions and directions from Saint Agnes may vary significantly; should any parents make a decision not to send their child(ren) to school, we will respect those decisions.
When a decision has been made to close or delay the start of school, the order of posting is as follows: notification via Educate’s emergency alert system (email, phone and text), posting to the school website, and, finally, notification to the four major media sites (WCCO, KARE11, FOX9, KSTP5). Other supplemental notification may be given by social media but is not guaranteed.

Helpful Election Year Documents
The Catholic Bishops of Minnesota have released some helpful guidance on the 2024 election that I’d like to share with you. The first is a letter from the bishops regarding what ought to be considered when voting on November 5th. That document is available at the following url: https://www.archspm.org/catholic-bishops-2024-election/.
The second document comes from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and is entitled “The Role of the Church in American Political Life,” available at the following url: https://www.usccb.org/resources/Role-of-Church-In-American-Political-Life.pdf.
Finally, the Minnesota Catholic Conference has offered us a very good resource on their Election Resources page that expresses the priority of human dignity and voting with a Catholic conscience. Feel free to take a look at the following url: https://www.mncatholic.org/election2024.
With respect to our own approach to political speech at Saint Agnes School, feel free to take a look at our Student/Parent Handbook Policy on “Political, Anti-Catholic, and Divisive Endorsement and Symbols Policy.”
