Red & White Benefit: Thank You

The Red & White was a tremendous success on Saturday night! Every year I am so proud of our community for coming together at this event to raise essential funds in support of the over 75% of our students who receive financial aid. I cannot express my gratitude enough to everyone involved, from all of our generous benefactors (those in the room and those bidding from couches at home), to our parent and student volunteers, to our incredible Advancement team. Thank you all for continuing to support Saint Agnes, and making this year’s Red & White the best yet!

Mr. Blonski Testifies at the Minnesota State Capitol

Last week Mr. Josh Blonski, one of our Upper School Deans of Students, testified before the Minnesota Senate Education Finance Committee in support of our school, students, and Catholic education. Please watch his testimony below and contact your legislators to ensure they oppose Governor Walz's egregious budget proposal, which would strip our school of over $340,000 in essential funding for textbooks, nursing services, and guidance counseling services, not to mention reimbursement dollars for transporting Saint Agnes Students to school. Our families deserve something for their tax dollars.

Tuition Contract Covenant Language

This year, there was some confusion on the part of some of our parents regarding the covenant language TADS put into our tuition contract without informing us. A number of Catholic schools requested help from the Archdiocese regarding this contractual language. TADS put the language into Archdiocesan Schools’ tuition contracts, and then neglected to inform Saint Agnes School that they were putting it into our tuition contracts. We found out about it after many of you raised the issue, and we immediately asked TADS to remove the language (but not until after many of you had already signed your re-enrollment contract).  Please accept our apology for any confusion it caused you and your family.

Parish Office Parking Spaces That Are Off-Limits

The lot between the school building and the Church is generally available for parking during the school day, including before and after school. The sites that need to be available for specific purposes are those five (5) with signs on the school building between doors 5 and 6 (parish office). Every one of those parking spaces needs to be available for their intended use—namely, staff parking, Red & White Benefit parking, and Parish Office Visitors. This includes most especially the two spaces nearest the parish office door—with signs that display: Parish Office Visitors Reserved Parking. Please do not park in any of those five spaces, even if you are waiting to pick up your student. We have many visitors to the parish each day who need to park in those two spaces. Thank you for your cooperation!

Financial Aid Application Deadline

For families that are planning to apply for financial aid, please fill out a financial aid application in your TADS account. The deadline to complete this is February 28th. The charge to complete an application is $34. You will need to submit 2 recent pay stubs, a form 1040, and any w2’s for your household. TADS may also request additional information based on your household financial situation. Please call the Admissions Office if you need any help or have questions. We are here to help.
