Principal Notes

Dear Parents,

Jogathon is almost here!  If you are one of the thirty or so families who have not yet registered your child(ren), now is the time.  Please register so that all our students can enjoy the Kona Ice truck later this year!  The link to register is here.

The Rebuild with Resilience Fair is this coming Saturday, March 1, here on campus.  Attached here is the flyer with all the information that you need.  You must register to attend.

Our very own 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Simone, is teaching a free dance/exercise class in March in Holy Angel Hall.  Join her and have some fun while you exercise with friends!  The flyer is attached here.

Finally, mark your calendars for our annual Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, March 19, at 6 pm.  You’ll hear about our progress on the new front entrance,  tuition and fees for next year, and curriculum updates.  We’ll send out the Zoom invitation the week before.

I’m looking forward to seeing you here on Friday for Jogathon!

Falcon Strong T-Shirt

Print Lab Direct is proud to partner with Bella+Canvas to create a special t-shirt designed to support St. Philip the Apostle School and its families, faculty, and staff affected by the Eaton Canyon Fire.

The cost of the t-shirts has been fully donated and all proceeds from this fundraising effort will go directly to St. Philip the Apostle School. The funds raised will help families affected by the recent tragedy within our school community, as well as support the school’s ongoing fundraising efforts.

Fire Relief Fund

We are so grateful for everyone who has donated to the Fire Relief Fund to assist our families, teachers, and staff who have been impacted by the fires. Thanks to the donations, we have raised over $100,000.

We know that many of our families have been deeply impacted and each situation is unique. To ensure we are meeting the specific needs of those affected, we kindly ask that families in need of any support complete the form below. All submissions will be carefully reviewed, and we will do our best to distribute funds as needed.

Fire Relief Support Form

Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance or to notify the school if you need any help. We are here for all our families.

USAgain Bins

Please bring clothes you want to donate or no longer need and place them in our USAgain Bins. Our partnership with USAgain is a huge help to our community so you don't have to travel far to recycle. Our school uses the funds we raise to donate to St. Vincent de Paul. Since partnering with USAgain, we have donated over 7,000 pounds of clothing. Thanks for helping out!

Look for the green bins in the parking lot!

Wanted

Empty clean wine bottles needed for art project. Please drop off to Mrs. Slater in the art room. Thank You!

Parent Handbook

Social Media and Cyberbullying

Saint Philip School strives to provide maximum opportunity for each student to succeed. Efforts are made to assist each student to reach his/her highest potential through academic support, staff conferences, parent contacts, child conferences, and parent conferences.

To further help each child succeed, Saint Philip School has a Student Teacher Education Plan team.  The STEP team works with parents and teachers to help solve academic, physical, social, or behavioral problems that interfere with student success. The team collaborates with the student and the student’s parents and is consistent with Saint Philip’s philosophy of reasonable adjustments.

If you have a child who is struggling academically or is disabled, contact Dr. Aimee Ramirez at the school office.. For specific information and guidance see chapter 14 of  the ADLA Administrative Handbook:

Reflection of the Week

"The battles that count aren't the ones for gold medals. The struggles within yourself--the invisible, inevitable battles inside all of us--that's where it's at."
