Flowers for the Sisters' Chapel Signup


Dear friends and valued community members,


How blessed we are to have the Dominican Mary Mother of the Eucharist Sisters serving at Saint Agnes! We are called to assist in the flower donations for their chapel.

1) Drop 4 bouquets of flowers per week; 4 bouquets of green fillers


2) Bring on Fridays to green bucket outside of chapel door on second floor of school--enter through parish office. If you've signed up for a non-school day, place in bucket outside convent front door.


3) Feel free to leave them specific intentions – they post your name on our prayer board and pray for you and your family specifically throughout the week.

No Upper School (Grades 7-12) on Friday, March 14


Upper School students (Grades 7-12) have earned an extra day off school on Friday, March 14 for reaching their stretch goal and selling over $75,000 worth of raffle tickets as part of our Red & White Benefit. Please mark your calendars!


Note: Lower School (Grades PreK-6) will still be in session this day as usual from 7:55am-2:45pm. 

Save the Date: Ignatius Book Fair! April 10-13


Save the Date of the Ignatius Book Fair on April 10 - 13. There will be opportunities for students to browse during school, as well as time for parents and others to shop. Volunteers are needed to make this happen.

2025 Summer Series Information

Financial Aid Application Deadline


For families that are planning to apply for financial aid, please fill out a financial aid application in your TADS account. The deadline to complete this is February 28th. The charge to complete an application is $34. You will need to submit 2 recent pay stubs, a form 1040, and any w2’s for your household. TADS may also request additional information based on your household financial situation. Please call the Admissions Office if you need any help or have questions. We are here to help.


Scholarship Applications Due February 28th

 

All need-based scholarship applications for the 2025-2026 school year are due Friday, February 28th! Please turn in all applications to Mrs. Beth Morgan. To receive need-based scholarships you must apply for financial aid through TADs. 

 

For Lower School families that have received the Aim Higher Scholarship in the past, please have your financial aid application completed by February 28th. You need to meet this date in order to qualify for the scholarship again this year. Unfortunately, if you are late in submitting your financial aid application the school will have to add the missed $1000 scholarship onto your tuition agreement. 

 

9th grade Need-Based Scholarships – Please review the list of scholarships here and complete these separate application for the scholarships you think you may qualify for. These applications are also due February 28th.

 

12th grade Need-Based Kubista Scholarship – Click here for the application to this scholarship. Complete and submit the application by February 28th

The Kubista Endowed Scholarship is awarded to one male and one female 11th Grade student before they enter their senior year. Students must exhibit strong Christian values, character, leadership, and academic excellence.

2025-26 Freshman Registration | 2/25 @ 6PM


For current 8th grade families, please put the Freshman Registration event date on your calendar. We will gather in the Helene Houle Auditorium on February 25th at 6:00pm to discuss the high school academic program, select classes for next year, learn about our AP and Dual enrollment programs to gain college credit in high school, and more.

 

Freshman Placement Test Results


Thank you to all that took the Freshman placement test. Your results will be in your unique folders that are handed at the Freshman Registration event on February 25th. If you need the results earlier please email Mr. Joseph Olson in the Admissions Office.

Jason Evert Event (Grades 7-12) - March 3


We are excited to welcome back Jason Evert to speak to our Upper School students next Monday, March 3rd. Jason Evert is an internationally known Catholic speaker who specializes in talking with junior high and high school students about the virtue of chastity. He is the author of How to Find Your Soulmate without Losing Your Soul. Feel free to visit his website at www.chastityproject.com to learn more. Parents and students may be interested in attending his "Double Feature" event on the evening of March 2nd at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park. Information about that event can be found here.

9th Grade Course Registration - 6:00PM Tuesday, February 25th 


All students entering 9th grade for Fall 2025 will register for courses at a special event on Tuesday, February 25. This is for current 8th graders at Saint Agnes as well as those students coming from other schools. Parents and students will get an overview of the high school academic program and have the opportunity to review course placement and make elective requests. The program begins at 6:00PM in the Helene Houle Auditorium. Contact Mr. Karl Hendrickson, Assistant Headmaster, or Mr. Joseph Olson, Director of Admissions, with questions.

Reminder: 2025-26 Course Requests (Current Grades 9-11) 


The online course request period for next year's students in grades 10-12 (current grades 9-11) is currently open on Educate. The submission deadline for online course requests is Wednesday, February 26 at 11:59PM. Parents and students received an email last week that included electronic copies of the necessary materials. As noted above, course registration for next year’s freshman class (current 8th graders) will take place at the Freshman Registration Event on Tuesday, February 25th. Mother & Son Bowling Event - Saturday, March 8th

  

The High School (Grades 9-12) Mother & Son Event will take place Saturday, March 8th. Cost is $35/mother & son pair and $15 for each additional son. Mothers (grandmothers, godmothers, or female role models) don’t miss out on the opportunity to spend quality time with your son and socialize with other Aggie families! Register on the Saint Agnes School website or in the school office by February 28th at 3pm. Due to the nature of the event, preregistration is required, no walk-ins will be accepted.  Please contact Cathy Clyde with any questions at (612) 875-9066 or email: weloveteesa@comcast.net.sa@comcast.net.

Witzel & Hunt Headed to Individual State Wrestling Tournament


Congratulations to Daniel Hunt and Charlie Witzel on earning berths to the 2025 MSHSL State Wrestling tournament to be held this coming Friday and Saturday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

 

Witzel, a senior is making a return visit to the tournament. He is currently 24-4 this season and will wrestle at 215 lbs. Hunt, a freshman, will wrestle at 107 lbs. He is 37-7 this season.

Saint Agnes Track & Field has a Parent/Guardian meeting on Thursday February 27th from 5:30-6:00pm in the Choir Room. Meet with Head Coach Dominic Shovelain and other Aggie T & F parents to discuss the basics of Aggie Track & Field including where and when we practice & compete, transportation, and how to prepare for the season. Kleenex Needed!

Cold and Flu season has cleaned out our Kleenex supply! Please consider helping us restock our shelves by donating boxes of Kleenex for our classrooms. Boxes can be dropped off to the main office. Thank you and may you stay healthy in these remaining winter months.

Presentation: Introduction to “Artificial Intelligence (A.I.)” on Feb. 10

On Monday, February 10, Dr. Faith Pawl hosted a presentation during Convocation introducing artificial intelligence. A former colleague of Dr. Pawl from the University of St. Thomas, Dr. Michael Hoefer (Computer Science) offered a video presentation on AI as well as helpful approaches to think about it and its use. Dr. Pawl then offered her own reflections as well as highlighted that the Upper School English Department is working on finalizing some new protocols for essays as related to AI soon. You may view the presentation from Dr. Hoefer (15 mins.) at this link, and you can download the summary handout here. Questions? Please contact Director of Academics, Dr. Michael Adkins.
