For the month of March, we will be collecting toiletries for our neighbors at the Travis County Community Center in Jonestown. If you use SNAP benefits to buy groceries, you are not allowed to use them to purchase any kind of personal products. Accordingly, the TCCC at Jonestown, keeps on hand a supply of these products for the clients’ use. The Center needs help in replenishing this supply and has asked CEC for help. Please bring any kind of personal care products — soap, body wash, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, etc. — to the church. There is a collection basket in the narthex. In a few weeks, we will make sure that these things get delivered. Thank you for your assistance!

Church Work Day!
As we approach Holy Week we look forward to sprucing up our beautiful yet distressed campus. Winter storm Mara did a number on our oak trees. Virtually every tree was impacted. Much of the debris is on the ground but many dead limbs remain hung up in trees. We give thanks to the 20 folks who showed up last month to drag the branches to the piles we see today. Now we plan to meet again on Saturday April 1 at 9AM. Our goal is to clean up the front yard, around the parking lot, the labyrinth and the foot path along the Stations of the Cross. We are inviting the Scout Troop, Rock Academy and Gladiators to join us in the effort. With the weather warming up remember to bring water, sun protection, eye protection and gloves.
We have considered several approaches to completing the clean up of trees and downed branches. We are now looking at hiring a professional company to do this job, due to the large scope and inherent risks. We did submit an insurance claim and as expected we were denied. We have now requested a grant from the diocese to help us. Once the diocese responds we will know where we stand and how we can move forward. Stay tuned.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER PARTNER MINISTRY
|
|
Intercessors will be at the back of the church, near the sacristy door to pray with anyone who would like special prayers during communion at the 10:30 service on Sundays. Often people will ask for prayers for healing for themselves or others, but any prayer request is welcomed. If you would like to pray with one of our prayer partners, you are encouraged to come forward for communion and then make your way to the back for additional prayers. If you have any questions about this ministry or are interested in becoming a prayer partner, contact Cindy Gravis or Fr. Richard.

And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. And all ate and were filled. What was left over was gathered up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.
Luke 9:16-17
