Lower School News:
I am writing today to announce that effective at the end of the school year, Mrs. Miriam Naughton will no longer serve as our Lower School Director. She has resigned from the position effective after the school year to stay home and raise her child(ren). She shared the following with the faculty about the decision, “Since taking this role I have grown more in love with the position and with the school than I thought I would, but I also did not anticipate how much motherhood would expand my heart. My decision to leave this wonderful place has been so bittersweet, as I am leaving a job and school that I love but embracing what God is now calling me to as mother and wife.”
Although I am disappointed that she will no longer be serving in our Lower School as a teacher or administrator, we will always support family decisions made in good faith and discernment of God’s will. Please join me in thanking Mrs. Naughton for the past five years that she has served in our 6th grade classroom, as Assistant Lower School Director, and this past year as Lower School Director. She has left a wonderful (and wonderfully Scottish) mark on our school for which we can be nothing but grateful. We will now be working to find a suitable successor for our Lower School. Please pray with me for the right person to take on this role in our community; God knows who He wants to serve in this role, so may we find him or her!

Pray for our Aggie Pilgrims!
As we look forward to Spring Break and the opportunity for rest and renewal, please keep in your prayers the 42 Aggie students and seven adult chaperones who are headed on pilgrimage to Rome on March 13th. May this time of travel offer them a deeper sense of the Goodness, Truth, and Beauty of our Catholic faith and the joy that comes from time spent in community with Christ at the center. We pray our pilgrims have safe travels and come back refreshed by the joy of the Gospel.

NEW: Assessment of Religious Knowledge (ARK test) March 27
The Archdiocese has asked Saint Agnes to help pilot and administer the ARK standardized test to students in grades 2-12. This assessment measures how well our students are learning the “head knowledge” of the faith: doctrines, dogmas, Christian/Catholic terms, moral teaching, etc. We will administer this test with paper and pencil in all of our Religion/Theology classes on Thursday, March 27. Students do not need to do anything extra to prepare and the results do not have any effect on their school grades. We will report scores once we’ve received them back from ARK in the late spring/early summer.
Here’s some more information:
Please contact Dr. Michael Adkins, Director of Academics if you have any further questions.

But there have been some over the years whose particular passion was devotion to the Mass and the Real Presence. High School Band Takes Trip to UW-Eau Claire
The high school band went on a trip to University Wisconsin-Eau Claire to have a clinic with Dr. Philip Ostrander and a master class with the great jazz pianist and two-time Grammy winner Geoffrey Keezer. The band stayed overnight in Wisconsin Dells at the Wilderness Resort. One of the school buses broke down just outside of Eau Claire. Luckily, we all fit into one bus (except for the instruments). Within minutes after we pulled off the highway, a manager from the local bus company was driving by and stopped to offer help. He had his bus mechanic come to fix the problem so we could be on our way. All-in-all, it was a great trip and great story.
