A Word of Gratitude

I continue to be surprised and impressed by the ways in which the Saint Agnes community supports all its families—independent of political viewpoint. As Operation Metro Surge comes to a close, I wanted to offer a special word of thanks to our community for all the support you have given to the many Saint Agnes School families in need. Many of you gave financial help, meals, rides, and other forms of support to our families, and I was so blessed to see and participate in the generosity of our community. Thank you in a special way to Mrs. Jaimes, who coordinated much in the distribution of resources to Saint Agnes families. Our federal government’s approach to legal immigration has certainly been broken for decades, and Archbishop Hebda penned a very-well stated article for the Wall Street Journal worthy of a read by everybody in our community (see it here). Let us pray for all of our Saint Agnes School and Church families and for our country as we navigate this sensitive and challenging time in our world.

Action for School Choice and Federal Scholarship Tax Credits Requested

Several years ago, a number of us private and Catholic school leaders tried to persuade our State legislators and governor to pass K-12 Tax Credit Scholarships at the state level; we failed. Last year, the federal government passed just such a program for all 50 states. The challenge: Governor Walz must opt in to the program. Such a program does not cost Minnesota a single penny, and would allow public and private school students to choose the school and programs they want for their children. Kids would win most! Please do what you can to motivate Governor Walz to opt in. Join the Archdiocese and Minnesota Catholic Conference by clicking here to take action. Thank you for prioritizing our Minnesota children’s needs!

Saint Agnes Football Update

Beginning Fall 2026, Saint Agnes School will enter into a football co-op with Liberty Classical Academy for students in grades 6-12.

This partnership is designed to provide more opportunities for students from both schools to participate in football, strengthen the competitiveness of our teams, and allow us to share resources in a way that supports long-term program stability.

Decisions like this are often practical in nature, but they are also rooted in our commitment to enriching the overall student experience and ensuring that our program remains strong and sustainable.

For decades, Saint Agnes has been one of the few stand-alone high school football programs in the Twin Cities. While we are proud of that tradition, we believe this partnership positions our program for continued success and growth while preserving the values and spirit that define Aggie Athletics. Our football program will continue to be known as Saint Agnes Football.

We are excited about this collaboration and look forward to continuing our Aggie tradition of excellence on the gridiron this fall.

Spring Tennis Club

Does your child have interest in playing club tennis this spring? It would be open to grades 5-8* girls and boys from beginners to advanced players. Children from grades below 5th who currently play tennis may be allowed to join on a case-by-case basis. If we have enough interest, we will meet once or twice a week right after school either at West Mini or Johnson Pkwy courts from April through May.

Please contact Curt Chandler at curtchandler@comcast.net if interested. * Girls who played last Fall are not eligible to play due to MSHSL rules.
