Dear Parents,
It was so wonderful to see so many of our parents, students and faculty attend the Pasta Dinner last week. The students had such a great time eating dinner with their friends and parents. Our students also enjoyed having their faces painted by our very talented volunteer face painters, Lavette Ricks, Tiala Blocker, Zach Sissel, Abby Hubert and Kristy Foleck! Thank you so much to all the volunteers without whom this event could not be such a great success! A special thank you to LaToya, our head pasta dinner chef, all of our dedicated faculty for manning the food tables, and Carin Simon, our event organizer, who worked so hard to make sure we all had a fun family evening.
We also held our first EY Family Shabbat Sing-along last Friday and it was so wonderful to see so many parents join their children for a wonderful morning of singing and dancing. A special thank you to Morah Elyssa, Morah Veronica and Morah Jacquie for creating a fabulous morning full of joy and community!
Yesterday, we held our 34th Annual Bob Josephberg Classic Golf Tournament. This tournament is our school’s biggest fundraiser and we truly can’t thank the donors enough for coming out and supporting our school. A special thank you to Bob Josephberg, Angela Jenkins, David Leon, Babbi Bangel, Andie Eichelbaum Itzhak, Patti Seeman and all the volunteers who came out to support our school.
Applying Best Practice to School Safety requires practice. Therefore, the campus will conduct a lockdown drill on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 9:15am; this drill will transition into an evacuation drill for all students. Children will transit from their respective spaces to the gym and a simulated evacuation. The drill will last approx. 30 min, please remain clear of the affected areas during the drill, during the lockdown phase no entry will be allowed to those areas. If you are in the building during the initial lockdown you will be required to participate.
Please remember, Monday, September 26 and Tuesday, September 27, 2022 is Rosh Hashana and there is No School. FULLCARE and JCC SDO are open on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
Wishing you good health, happiness, peace and prosperity today and all through the year! L’shanah Tovah!
Below you will see some reminders for the week ahead.
