Weekly Newsletter: 9/3/2024

Praised be Jesus Christ! What a magnificent first full week of school it has been! My anticipation for the first day of school was richly rewarded and my enthusiasm has only increased since. The annual Upper School “Sorting Ceremony” assembly, during which our freshmen were welcomed and placed in their new House groups. Though I was assiduously trying to remain inconspicuous in the corner, a Senior called me up to center court, and I could not refuse her gracious invitation. The Upper School then proceeded to sing me “Happy Birthday” and I am certain I blushed a few shades of red!

This is but one way in which I have felt welcomed to Saint Agnes School. If every student feels as welcomed and valued as have I in these first days within this community, it is going to be a fantastic year. I was both overjoyed and a more than a bit overwhelmed when 100 boys (grades 7-12) turned out for the informational meeting to learn about altar serving. I did my best to keep my composure, so moved was I by their zeal and commitment. Where else would that happen?

I extend my deepest gratitude and promise of prayers to all the families who have chosen a Saint Agnes education. To our incredible administration, faculty and staff who have prepared so diligently all summer for a smooth and blessed start to school, your dedication inspires me. May the Lord who has begun the good work in all of us this year, by His grace, bring it to fulfillment.

In Christ,

Fr. Ubel

Superintendent

On the day you sign up for, bring 4 bunches of flowers and 2 bunches of greens to the Parish Office and they will direct you where to deposit them. God bless your generosity!
