Stewardship of Resources: Covering Our Textbooks!
In an effort to take better care our textbooks, we’re asking students in grades K-12 to cover their textbooks. This initiative includes larger, hard-bound textbooks in Math, Science, History, for example. Novels and other paperback materials do not need to be covered, unless directed by teachers. Covering a textbook is cheap (usually free) and easy! Here’s a 1 min. 36 sec. video: How to Cover a Textbook with a Paper Grocery Bag
This effort avoids damage to textbooks so they can last for years – it also helps avoid unnecessary extra fees due to students damaging textbook materials. Thank you for helping your student(s) be good stewards of our academic resources.

Volunteering at Saint Agnes
We are grateful for our generous parent volunteers, as the true cost of education at Saint Agnes exceeds tuition and relies on everyone’s support of their time and talents. Volunteer opportunities are now listed on our website, where you can fill out an interest form. Please note that volunteers working with youth must complete the Archdiocese Essential Three (E3) Safe Environment requirements. For questions, contact Mrs. Becca DeMarais at bdemarais@saintagnesschool.org or 651-925-8759.

Lower School Library Volunteers Needed
We are so grateful to have a Lower School Library, filled with great books for students. We want to open it up for students after school, so that they can check out books and read at their leisure. We need someone to help students check out books, however. If you are able and willing to help, even if only for one or two days each week, please email Mr. David Gockowski, Director of the Lower School.

Spirit Store Volunteers Needed
As our new school spirit store buildout nears its completion, please consider lending a hand to get it off to a running start this fall!
We need assistance with the following:
- Opening, managing, and closing the store (typically after school; weekly hours TBD)
- Inventory tracking, ordering, & organization
- Special sales operations (homecoming, grandparent days, athletic events, etc.)
Helping out with our store will be a great way to serve with other Aggie parents and interact directly with our students, alumni, and community. Contact Mr. Neal Abbott, Marketing & Communications, to volunteer!

Kitchen Volunteers Needed
Please consider volunteering in our kitchen! The kitchen is a fun, energetic part of the school where you get to work with a great team AND meet the students in the school.
Please email Food Service Director, Mrs. Kelly DiPietro, to help out!

Security Update
Thank you all for your support last week as we made a couple adjustments to strengthen our already enhanced security protocols—so many of you expressed your gratitude for our handling of the hours and days after the Annunciation shooting during Mass. During Mr. Kiehl’s absences this year, Mr. Rodrigo Flores, a current Aggie parent, will be present each morning to manage traffic and the crosswalk by Door 3 from 7:15 to 7:55 AM and then secure access to our parking lot and building for the remainder of the morning on school days until Mr. Kiehl returns. We are grateful to Mr. Flores for filling in during Mr. Kiehl’s temporary absence.
Please continue to pray for the safety and well-being of our children, faculty, and staff members!

Flowers for the Sisters' Chapel
We are very blessed to welcome back our Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist to their convent here at Saint Agnes. A way we can show our care and support for them is by providing flowers weekly for their chapel that is inside the school building on the second floor. It’s as easy as purchasing 4 bouquets of flowers, 2 bouquets of green fillers, dropping them off, and then the Sisters will arrange them in their vases and pray for you and your family’s intentions.
The sign up sheet is easily accessed at: www.bitly.com/chapelflowers.
