First, let me say thank you to all who attended, participated and supported the Chamber's inaugural Green Transpo Expo this past Saturday at the Westfield North County Mall! The response was fantastic, and the day was full of opportunities to learn and discover as well as experience pieces of the massive changes coming our way with the transformation of the transportation system.
Literally everything connects in one way or another. Conservation efforts, transit and housing are inextricably connected, and the Expo touched on all of these elements.
We already have our date for next year and the program will grow because of your support. Thank you to all of our elected officials which included each and every one on the City Council as well as our Mayor who showed up at 9a and stayed till well past noon, our new County Supervisor Jim Desmond also came, presented and then stayed to experience much of the Expo.
It's leadership exhibited by these elected officials that positions Escondido and the whole Inland North County to lead, not follow through this transition which will literally touch each and every one of us.
The opportunities are boundless, and this annual event will play a major role in showcasing these.
If you were not able to attend, please mark your calendars now for next Saturday April 22, 2023 as we present the 2nd Annual Green Transpo Expo right here in Escondido.
The Greater Escondido Chamber of Commerce is consistently coming up with innovative ways to enhance our business community and is guided by our ethos to make any and all businesses that choose Inland North County\Escondido as a place to do business the greatest opportunity to succeed.
Cheers, JR
