643 days ago, California went into mandatory stay-at-home orders per Governor Newsome. That’s over 20+ months. It’s not a stretch to say that for most of us there has never been anything comparable.
We’ve been down but not out. And we forge forward with hope and optimism trusting in each other for support.
The Greater Escondido Chamber of Commerce has not waned from our mission throughout this challenge from day one. We’ve continued to champion for local business and bridge the chasm created by this challenge.
We’ve trumpeted vetted vital information to our business community shared via new resources and traditional platforms. We’ve brought back the Grand Avenue Festival and Community in Unity both after a 2-year hiatus, zoomed our way into offices and homes and we’ve continued publishing the Escondido Magazine.
Our most recent celebration at City Hall with our Community-In-Unity event embodied the cohesive strength of our business community in alignment with the city. It doesn’t just happen it’s something we work on each day at the Chamber.
As we accept the beginning of a new year, we look to build on the positive changes that are the byproduct of effective communication and understanding of the goal. Stay focused on the goal.
Let’s strive to make each other the best we can be, and our business community will reflect our efforts.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and I wish you a healthy and prosperous New Year.
Cheers,
JR
