We are all in this together. Rather big statement but, allow me to explain.
Yesterday morning I had the opportunity to speak at the Valley Center Business Association monthly meeting. Terrific group of smart, positive people and was well attended.
I presented the direction the Chamber is going and why along with highlights of the many programs we have and are building here at the Chamber all tied to our core mission of creating a vibrant and inviting business community. Our goal is to give businesses who have chosen to locate in our area the best opportunity to succeed.
I say area because as we networked after the meeting it was clear to each person, I spoke with how connected the two communities are. This will come as no surprise to many of you. What is important to note here is this is repeated in many local communities throughout Inland North County.
Point is we are all in this together, connected and genesis for this is Escondido. Escondido’s influence in the Inland North County is well documented. Many businesses started by entrepreneurs who were either from Escondido or began in Escondido are part of this heritage.
Thank you VCBA for the warm welcome and we look forward to developing opportunities to collaborate further.
I’d like to introduce a new monthly addition we’re adding to our newsletter, and this is a local residential real estate market update. We’ve asked Board member Kay Bates of Kay Bates Realty if she would be willing to supply and she has graciously accepted. Kay is a well-respected veteran realtor/broker in our community and runs a very successful real estate office here in Escondido. Her reach goes well beyond the confines of the city and her perspective will add updated local insights on the residential real estate market.
Kay’s column will run on the second Wednesday of each month. Welcome Kay and thank you
Cheers, JR
