Summer has rushed in, and the forecast calls for a dry and extended hot one.
Nothing unusual about this. The wildfire concern is always with us, and we all must be prepared for whatever this could bring. Businesses should address a set of protocols for the possibility of wildfires bring. Power loss, communications down, evacuation routes, etc...
Supporting local businesses is a never-ending drumbeat echoing consistently here at the Chamber.
Local business is the driver of commerce which in turn creates retails sales tax generation. Retail sales tax is a critical resource the city relies on to help pave roads, build schools, preserve, and expand our parks and so much more.
Please do your part to support our local businesses whenever possible.
Surveys and polls have gained new relevance as it seems everyone is conducting one or the other. Most of these are relatively benign in terms of the time required to fill out but they are integral to having your voice heard on so many levels. As you are considering participating, please know that when the Chamber seeks your input via our polling we really are listening.
And speaking of the Chamber please consider supporting our advocacy for business by either sponsoring or playing in our upcoming 4th Annual Chamber Challenge Golf Tournament coming this September 15th. More information can be found here. Proceeds go to help support the Police Athletic League.
And thank you to Escondido’s own Icon Industries for hosting their ongoing Artificial Intelligence learning series here at the Chamber last Thursday. There was a packed conference room and plenty of great information shared.
