GARCC Annual Business & Awards Ceremony
Was A Great Success!
The Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce held their Annual Business & Awards Ceremony to a sellout crowd at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel in Staunton on Tuesday April 8, 2014 with a "Night on Broadway" theme. Linda Roland, owner of Market On Main in Waynesboro, was recognized as the Citizen of the Year. (Linda's bio) Once again, Congratulations, to all the winners! Watch next week for a link to the Annual Awards video with all the winners.
Keynote speakers, NASCAR Driver, Ryan Newman and his wife, Krissie, CEO of their Rescue Ranch, were a delightful duo. In a humorous fashion, they played off of each others comments relative to their experiences with developing the Ranch!
Also, special thanks to Whitney Wagner, owner of Business Financials Inc. who was recognized for her generous contribution to Rescue Ranch. (pictured left to right, Brian Sportelli, Ryan Newman, Whitney Wagner, and her son Whit Wagner).
"We were very happy to support such a great cause and are going to make plans to visit the ranch to learn more and see what we can do to spread their mission in our area. I think there is great potential to incorporate the education into the children's camp at Creative Works Farm, and as a board member, I am very excited about that." commented Whitney. |
