From the Rector

Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. Mary's,

This Saturday, June 22,  is our Summer Lunch for all of St. Mary's seniors and their friends. Please let Amy in the office know if you can make it so we can have enough food on hand. I hope you will join us. We will gather at 11:30 a.m. and have lunch at Noon, followed by bingo and door prizes.

Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make our Community Meal last Saturday another great success.   Thank you Chef Tom for the great, wonderful food.  We covered all of our costs and served 67 meals. A great time was had by all!

Blessings,
Fran+

Presiding Bishop in Chicago July 31

St. James Cathedral in Chicago is hosting  An Evening with Presiding Bishop Michael Curry , on Wednesday, July 31 , at 6:30 p.m.   Tickets may be purchased online for $22, and the price includes a signed copy of his book,   "The Power of Love: Sermons, Reflections, and Wisdom to Uplift and Inspire".    If you are interested, please get your tickets ASAP, as they will likely sell out.   Rev. Fran and a few parishioners have already expressed an interest in attending, so perhaps a group could get together and car pool, or take the train. Contact Fran if you're interested. Tickets can be purchased online here.
