From the Rector

Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. Mary's,

This Sunday we are kicking off our 2020 Stewardship Campaign.   Stewardship cards will be available for you as you leave the 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. services. We are asking all pledges to be returned by Sunday, November 24, when we celebrate Thanksgiving as a parish with one 9:00 a.m. service and a potluck brunch in the Great Hall. All pledges are needed and helpful. Our main source of income for our parish is our pledge income. I invite you to join me in making a pledge to St. Mary's.

This Saturday is our Community Meal from 5:00-7:00 p.m. We have a great meal planned so please join us and bring neighbors and friends. It is always a great meal with wonderful hospitality.

Our Kick Start Capital Campaign is underway. As most of you know the first stage is one of discernment, and we need to hear from all of you regarding what programs and/or projects you would like to see at St. Mary's, if we had the funds. We are holding cottage meetings, which provide the place for you to gather with others in the parish and share your ideas. Please sign up today or email Amy Noe in the office and let her know which meeting you would like to attend. We have openings in the following meetings:

Tonight, October 17th at 7:00 p.m. - the Becker home.
Thursday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. - the DeThorne home
Sunday, November 3 at 1:00 p.m. - the Horeled home
Sunday, November 10 at 11:30 a.m. - Church School wing

Thank you to all those who are already signed up to participate in this important Parish work.

I want to thank the choir and all those who worked so hard to make Sandy's funeral service so lovely. It was a glorious service and I know Sandy was smiling upon it. Thank you all who helped make this a wonderful day.

Blessings,
Fran+

All Saints' Sunday - November 3

This year in preparation for our All Saints' Sunday Celebration on Nov. 3rd , we are once again inviting people to make prayer flags for those who have died Colored paper prayer flags and markers will be available at the back of the church throughout the month of October Please make a flag for anyone and everyone whom you would like us to remember this All Saints' Sunday.  You may make as many flags as you wish.  The flags will be hanging in the church throughout the month of November.  You may write the person's name, dates, and/or a note about them.

In addition to the prayer flags, you are also invited to bring in photos of those family members and friends to be remembered. We'll scan and print them in the office, and they will be displayed in the church, along with the flags.  Make sure to put your name on the photo so it can be returned to you.

* If you have digital copies of the photos you'd like to use, please email them to the parish office at: [email protected].   If you submitted photos in prior years,  there is no need to resubmit them  we will use them again, unless you tell us otherwise.
