From the Rector

Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. Mary's,

This Sunday is "Blue Jean Sunday" so please wear your work clothes to church and help us do a quick grounds clean-up immediately following the 10:00 a.m. service. We will be raking, trimming bushes, and weeding the grounds. As you all know we have five acres of land and the more help we have the more we can get done. A lunch will follow at 1:00 p.m. sharp in the Great Hall. Please bring work gloves and any yard tools you may have.

Congratulations to Alison Davis who will be receiving her Senior Cross this Sunday at our 10:00 a.m. service. Alison has served as an Acolyte, and Lector here at St. Mary's, and she also has been a volunteer at our Community Meal with her high school class.   Alison has graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School and will be attending college at the University of Minnesota this Fall.

It is time for the St. Mary's summer Senior Lunch , which will be held on Saturday June 22 at 11:30 a.m. in the Great Hall. Come and celebrate the beginning of summer with an old-fashioned picnic (inside of course), bingo games, and door prizes. Bring your friends. Please RSVP to Amy Noe in the office so we have enough food on hand.

Mark your calendars for Sunday June 9 th , the Feast of Pentecost , and please wear red  to mark the occasion as we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birthday of the church.

This Saturday June 1 st we will hold the churchyard burial of Linda Robert at 10:30 a.m. Linda is the late wife of Cameron. Your prayers and presence are requested.

Blessings,
Fran+

Parish Clean-Up Day with Lunch

Sunday, June 2 following the 10:00 a.m. Service!
Your Help is Needed!

This Sunday, June 2  from  11:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m . we will hold a parish clean-up day of our grounds. We need people to weed and pick up branches, and do a basic clean-up of our 5 acres.  Lunch will be served in the Great Hall as soon as we finish up.  Please wear your yard work clothes to church and spend sometime helping, as "many hands make light work."  Please RSVP for lunch with Amy in the office or sign up in the Great Hall.  We want to make sure we have enough food on hand for all. Volunteers of all ages are welcome! There will be something to do for any age. For questions or more information, contact  Tracy Higgins.

THE FEAST OF PENTECOST

Sunday, June 9 , is the Feast of Pentecost, which marks the coming of the Holy Spirit and the Birthday of the church in the world.  In celebration of the day,  everyone is encouraged to wear red.
There will be a renewal of our Baptismal vows at the 8:00 a.m. service, and we will celebrate the baptism of Alessandra Enriqueta Rivera at the 10:00 a.m. service.

Paper Please . . . Donations of paper goods are greatly needed at the Crystal Lake Food Pantry. The pantry is not able to buy paper goods through the food bank, and clients are not able to use their SNAP benefits to purchase any paper goods such as toilet paper, Kleenex, paper towels, and napkins. Bring them to the church any time, and your Board members will get them over to the pantry. Paper goods are items that are lightweight, easy to carry and low cost that can be donated and will be appreciated by the clients. Thank you!!
