New Family!   Welcome to Mike and Angela Hansma and their 2nd grader, Jaxon!

If your child's end of the day plans change (bus, child care, etc.), it is important that you send a note or email their teacher before noon. If there is no communication with the teacher we will follow the normal routine.  (We can not go by what the child says.) If you have a last minute change, please call the school office. 

Mother-Daughter Bouquet and Brownies will be held November 10 from 2-5 pm in our school gym!  Information was sent home with the youngest girl in each family earlier this week!  Any questions regarding this event, please contact the PTA at

The cost is $15 per bouquet. This includes your fresh flowers,  jar, decorations for your jar, and a snack of lemonade and brownies. You can make as many bouquets as you like as long as you sign up in advance.

The Ottawa County Health Department will be at ACS on November 16 for Hearing and Vision Screening. ( K, 2, 4 for hearing and 1, 3, 5, 7 for vision)   Michigan's Hearing and Vision screenings are available FREE of charge by Local Health Departments in collaboration with local schools; the programs are administered by the Michigan Department of Community Health. Moms in Prayer meet at ACS on Thursdays from 8:30-9:30am in the girls locker room. All Moms are welcome ... there's no greater work you can do for your kids than the work of prayer!

Unity Christian High School is seeking a part-time Communications Specialist.  This person would be responsible for external marketing of Unity Christian while providing communications through a variety of media resources.  A few of the responsibilities include capturing the vision of Unity and turning it into engaging written and online content, ensuring excellent social media engagement, and responsible for Unity's website. Sader Saturday Basketball Program  -- Unity Christian is pleased to offer a Sader Saturday Basketball program for boys in grades 4 - 6.  This program will be held on November 17,  December 1, 8, 15, and 22.  Each session will teach fundamental basketball skills and provide team competition.  Fourth grade boys will meet from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., and 5th/6th graders will meet from 10:15 - 11:45 a.m.  The cost to participate is $30 for 4th grade and $40 for 5th/6th grades, and the deadline to register is November 7.  Please go to for more information and an on-line registration link.  Information can also be found at under the "Camps & Clinics" tab.
