I have noticed some students with dyed/bleached hair. I was hoping it was just a summer thing and it will gradually fade away. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. In fact, it has become a major distraction. I strongly encourage you to color your child’s hair back to its natural shade by this weekend. Please refer to the Handbook policy regarding hair dying and hair style:
"Extremes in hairstyles or fad hair cuts are not permitted. Hair may not be bleached or colored and should be neatly cut. (Boys’ hair should not touch their shirt collar)."
Many Blessings,

Mrs. Fernandez

School Attendance is Important

Research shows that the single most important factor contributing to student achievement is school attendance. A student who is continually late or absent misses many important details from the teacher. Talk with your child abut the importance of attending school regularly and being on time. Avoid scheduling family trips or doctor appointments during school hours (if possible). Make sure your student eats healthy foods and gets enough sleep and exercise. Support school rules and consequences.
The yearbook committee is getting ready to begin designing the yearbook.
If you have pictures for the yearbook please send them to yearbook@stmikes22003.org
