From the Principal
Welcome Back!

We have made a great start to the 2019-20 school year! All our teachers are busy helping our students learn the classroom routines and rules. I am delighted to meet all the students.  It is such a pleasure to be greeted by the students with a smile and a hug anytime I visit the classrooms. I am truly blessed to be a part of the St. Michael community. It is going to be an exciting year full of learning and fun.

You will be receiving a  Partners in Faith  newsletter in your child’s yellow folder. There will also be a link that you can click on to access it electronically. It is a great resource to you as parents to have conversations about our Catholic faith. I hope you find it useful.

Your children’s safety is our first priority. It is crucial that we follow all carpool arrival and dismissal procedures. Following are some gentle reminders:

·       Please turn your car engines off during dismissal carpool.
·       We encourage all parents to come out of your cars to receive your children. We feel comfortable knowing who is picking them up.
·       Please call the front office, if there is a change in plans and you are asking someone else to pick up your children. We will ask for their ID to confirm.
·       Any children not picked up will be sent to Aftercare.

Cafeteria News

Hot Lunch will begin on September 12th for students in Kindergarten - 8th Grade.
The lunch calendar can be found here - September 2019 - all orders are due to the office by Friday, August 30th.

Milk is sold everyday for $.50.
Ice Cream is sold on Fridays for $.50 or $1.00 - depending on variety.
You may purchase a SNACK CARD for $10.00 - this will be kept in the cafeteria and can be 'punched' for milk and/or ice cream purchases.

All Parents are required to come and help in the lunchroom and outside for a total of 5 hours during the school year. The time is from 11:20am-12:40pm and includes helping at both lunch periods. If you would like to opt out of this the fee is $100 and should be paid directly to the school office. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins (anyone over the age of 18) is welcome to come and help your family for these hours. Hours are tracked in the "Parent Lunch Hours" Binder in the office. Make sure to sign-in in the binder in the Main Office.

Our First Day of School began with a prayer and a blessing by Father Drummond. Mrs. Fernandez introduced the new faculty to the students, and our new students were introduced to the school. It has been a great first couple of days!
