Principal's Corner
Dear Parents,
Join us this Friday for the HFCS traditional Blessing of the Animals. I recall my daughters looking forward to this event because they could meet everyone’s pets as they were being blessed. St. Francis was the saint who originally presented the idea that human beings are only one of the numerous creations of God and all are blessings in our Lord’s eyes. The feast day of St. Francis is celebrated every year on October 4th.

Psalm 50:10-11 “For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine.”

Blessing of All the Pets: God, our Creator, we ask you to bless our pets with Your light and love. May our animal friends have good health, happy lives and always be protected and safe. We ask for better understanding as we learn from our animal friends’ wisdom, their innocence, their loyalty and particularly their seeming ability to not judge human beings unkindly. Thank you for the pleasures, playfulness and sometimes the surprising humor our pets display. Thank you for their companionship and friendship especially for those lonely hours we may have experienced. Thank you for our companions’ natural ability to teach us to be aware of the present moment. Thank you for the pure beauty of every animal - their form, color, texture, motion is all a work of art, and may we appreciate Your creation of this masterpiece. Bless all animals in harm’s way, heal the sick, protect those who are lost, and guide them to safety. Thank you for the gift of love. Amen

Crosswalk Safety
Please make sure you are following safety measures when driving near the crosswalks. Please slow down when you come up to the crosswalk so you can have a better view of anyone waiting to cross and do not park on the crosswalks when you are waiting in line for morning drop off or afternoon pick up.

Thank you for helping keep students safe.

Parents, if you will be joining your student(s) for lunch and would like a school lunch, please call the office by 9am, so we can include you in the daily lunch count. Thank you for your understanding.

Respect Life Essay
Essay Theme " Unique and Unrepeatable "

All people are made unique and unrepeatable in God’s image. Loving everyone from conception until natural death, little babies and people who are old or sick, is what Jesus calls us to do.
