WRITE A LETTER TO SANTA!

Mailboxes to the North Pole are located in Rockwell Park, Seymour Park, and on the Federal Hill Green! The elves are hard at work to help Santa write back to each letter - so be sure to include your return address.

UPCOMING PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

COOKIE DECORATING Here is your chance to get creative and put your decorating skills to the test! The Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services department will give you everything you need to create a masterpiece that even Chef Gordon Ramsay would approve of! LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY Join Photographer Andy Mars and learn how to use your smartphone camera to take high-quality photos and then edit them with some of the best photo apps. These classes will help you take your normal photos and turn them into works of art!

KITCHEN CREATIONS! Join us for a Culinary workshop with ShopRight of Bristol Dietitians Lauren and Jessica. Sharpen your knife skills, learn new time saving techniques, and create delicious dishes in this one hour class. Ingredients will be delivered to your door (or picked up from the Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services office) each week so you can cook along as you watch and learn how to create healthy, inspired snacks, side dishes, and even desserts! This adult class is a 4-week program that will be offered on Thursdays virtually via Zoom.

STORYBOOK SCIENCE Storybook Science is a 6-week program geared for ages 6 and up. Each week in this program, there will be a story read relating to the science experiment and then participants will get to follow along creating, learning and understanding hands-on experiments.

WINTER ART INSTRUCTION Classes will be offered on Saturdays for six weeks at Page Park Pavilion for all ages and abilities. Each week students will work on projects and exploring a wide variety of mediums. Arts and crafts are one of the best ways for children to express their creativity and individual personalities.

REGISTRATION OPEN ALL-HEART PARK PACKS All-Heart Park Packs offer a variety of items and equipment that allow you to recreate in the comfort of your own home. The All Heart Park Pack will allow you to participate in sports, games, crafts, as well as introduce you to new hobbies and activities. The included QR Code will bring you to different videos that help with skill building or activity variation. This is a free program launching in January - Registration is open.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE The Holiday Toy Drive hosted on Saturday December 4th was a huge success. The department received numerous donations at the Youth & Community Services Building at 51 High Street. If you weren't able to make it on Saturday, Spare Time Entertainment in Bristol is collecting new, unwrapped toys through December 15th. All donations will benefit the Holiday Gift Giving Program!

DIVISION SPOTLIGHT

PARKS CREW The Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth & Community Services' Parks crew has been working diligently these past few weeks in preparation for Winter. Most recently, the Parks crew has added festive holiday decorations around the city. Visit Federal Hill Green and check out the Season's Greetings display. There have also been a handful of refurbishments done to 100-year old Muzzy Field. With our Parks crew overseeing the project, Muzzy Field will feature a new irrigation system, new lights, and new sod (pictured left.) Keep an eye out for more updates from our dedicated Parks crew!
