A Message from Pastor Davis

The first Sunday in Lent gives us the temptation of Christ narrative. Following His Baptism in the Jordan River, the Holy Spirit "casts" Him into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan (the devil). In the temptation of Christ, we are given in knowing that where Adam failed, Christ succeeded. In our wilderness today, we are tempted by Satan and his minions. We can take comfort in knowing that Christ has overcome the devil and all his deceits, both in His life and His death on the cross.

Help us Break in our New Smoker!!

On March 29th, the Pitmasters of Holy Smokes are hosting a BBQ sale. We will be using our new smoker acquired through the generosity of our Synod and District to have a brisket and pork sale. The funds raised will be used to help offset our Spiritual First Aid weekend,

Coffee Hour Volunteers Needed

The BCS would like to invite you to take a Sunday and host coffee hour. It does not need to be fancy and only a couple of items are needed. It is nice to have a bite to eat as we socialize with our church friends. Harry takes care of all aspects of the coffee- set up and clean up. There is a yearlong sign-up sheet on the door in the Gathering Room. If you have any questions, please talk to a BCS member. Thank you for considering this fun opportunity.

TLA Awarded LWML Grant!

Trinity Lutheran Academy has been awarded a $10,000 grant from Lutheran Women in Mission (LWML) to help with security issues such as locks and gates. The grant comes from the mite boxes we send to the Florida-Georgia District to support missions like our TLA outreach to the community. TLA says thank you to Trinity for supporting us through your mites!

The next Mite Box Sunday is April 6th.

Aluminum Can Recycling

This is a reminder that Trinity recycles aluminum cans (drink cans only). The receptacles are located in the fenced area behind the Fellowship Hall kitchen. You can’t miss it - there is a sign posted on the gate - just toss your bagged cans (squash them if you can, but it’s ok if you can’t). Proceeds go to Trinity Youth Group.
