Note from the Head of School

"Make a career of humanity. Commit yourself to the noble struggle for equal rights. You will make a better person of yourself, a greater nation of your country, and a finer world to live in."
~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I want to raise this question--would our country be different today if Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had not been assassinated on April 4th, 1968? I have linked the I Have a Dream Speech he delivered on August 28, 1963, in Washington, DC here.

Reading his entire speech and viewing the video will help us reflect on the question I raised.

In Retrospection,

Deba Dunn
Head of School

Journey through Montessori
1/18/24 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Mark your calendar to come and embark on a Journey through Montessori. Learn how the Montessori curriculum provides a seamless and interconnected educational experience from toddlerhood through middle school.

We ask that all families RSVP by Monday, January 15, so that we can adequately prepare for this amazing event. Childcare for Thacher students only will also be offered, so please register early, as space is limited.

This event is for all families, regardless of your child's current level.
Pizza Day -
Time to Reorder for the Second Session

Our new Pizza Session starts next Wednesday (January 17) and will run until March 20. If your child wants pizza lunches during the next session, please order before Sunday.

Please note that all orders for the second session must be placed by January 21.
Afterschool Winter Enrichment

We still have a few spaces open in our Afterschool Enrichment Program that starts January 8. Give your Elementary through Middle School child the opportunity to explore a variety of engaging classes designed to spark creativity, foster teamwork, and enhance skills.

Our diverse lineup includes classes in coding, cooking, Minecraft, sports, and arts.
