Note from the Head of School

Save the date, Wednesday, February 2, 2022!

I am pleased to announce an upcoming workshop for the Thacher family community facilitated by Dr. Ellie Friedland to discuss the spectrum of gender, learn accurate meanings of the ever-expanding vocabulary related to gender and sexual orientation, and how to engage with these topics positively.

This interactive workshop will provide families with the strategies to create welcoming, supportive environments for children with gender-expansive behavior and/or identity and families of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

Our staff participated in Dr. Friedland’s workshop during our professional day on January 3, 2022, upon returning from the December school vacation. Your participation will complete the circle of support we offer to all our students as we support them in their growth and development.

Details of the upcoming workshop will be forthcoming.

Warmly,

Deba
