Note from the Head of School

Welcome back and join me in embracing our first beautiful snowfall of 2022!

We are looking forward to increasing engagement with our Thacher community in 2022. Andrea, Michelle, and I encourage you to share any suggestions you have to help us improve our communication with you through Notes Home.

We look forward to hearing your feedback.

In Partnership,

Head of School
New Student

Join us in welcoming new student Maya (Cory) Wong and parents, Kwok Wong and Jennifer Baum. Cory joined the Upper Elementary Cohort in UEB. We are always excited when families decide to join Thacher, and we welcome your active participation in our community.

Welcome, Cory!

Nurse's Corner
With the ever-changing Covid guidance, coupled with our commitment to maintain health and safety, be sure to reference updates in the Nurse's Corner and the Re-Envisioned Plan. Inform me if your student is absent, and reach out with questions at [email protected].
Thacher Family Network
Connect with Thacher Families at Houghton's Pond

Head over to Houghton's Pond after school on sunny Fridays this winter to let your kids run. See you there!

For questions, please contact TFN co-chairs, Daniela Field and Kirsten Glynn.
Wellness Blog
There are numerous benefits to a snow day that exceed a day off from school and work—moving in the snow counts for major physical exercise that gets the heart pumping.

Get outside, read a book, have a home-cooked meal, and breathe. Enjoy the first snowfall of the year!
Green Committee
The first meeting of the Thacher Green Team took place on Thursday of this week. Kristin Drozek (current chair) passed the torch to new staff co-chairs Brittany Smoot and Cassandra Ward. We welcomed parent members Rebecca Burch, Elizabeth Lazar, and Janice Paré. We hope more parents will join this important committee supporting our students and environmental efforts at Thacher Montessori School.
