Dear Thacher Community,

I hope everyone enjoys a safe, joyous Winter Break.
 
Whether you celebrate the Winter Solstice, religious observances, or other
holiday traditions, I hope your days include family and friends, delicious
foods, and long naps!
 
I look forward to welcoming you back to school in 2023!

Weather-Related Closings and Cancellations

There are several ways you will hear about weather-related school closings or cancellations:

  • Parents will receive a text as soon as possible after the Head of School has made a decision
  • We send an email blast through Constant Contact to all parents
  • We post notices on our school website and calendar
  • We notify local TV stations
  • Facebook and Instagram announcements

Thacher usually, but not always, follows the lead of Milton Public Schools when it comes to closings due to inclement weather. Safety is our top priority. Staff and families come to Thacher from many of the surrounding towns; therefore, Thacher may opt to close for safety's sake even if Milton Public Schools are open.
New Pizza Session | 1/11 - 3/8

Pizza lunches have been a huge hit! It's time to place your order for the next session, which starts on January 11. All orders must be placed before the winter break.

Afterschool Care Winter Enrichments

The Winter Session of Afterschool Care Enrichment for Lower Elementary through Middle School will take place from January 9 to February 16. 

There are still some spots available, so register today!

Class Parents
Visit the Thacher Family Network page on the school website for a complete list of Class Parents. Class parents facilitate communications within their class community, meet with other parents to share ideas, and support parent initiatives.
Hike in the Blue Hills with the Adults
Please join us for an adult hike in the Blue Hills every other Wednesday. Meet in the parking lot across from school after drop off around 8:40 am.

Head over to Houghton's Pond after school on Fridays to let your kids run and play. See you there!
