Winter Royale Gala a Hit!
Thacher parents hosted a delightful evening of casino games, dancing, and fund-raising on February 8 at the Blue Hills Country Club.
Latin music performed by Mario Santiago and Hilary Noble's
Trio Radio Mambo
started the evening on a particularly festive note.
Grant Thayer of
Casino Night Boston
donated an incredible custom casino experience complete with hand-crafted game tables and professional dealers.
Dozens of volunteers rallied together under the direction of the Winter Royale Committee: Caro Bihldorff, Denice Kresker, Sayjal Menon, Laura Kerivan, Laura Satterfield, Erin Parsekian, Jess McDaniel, Kelly Isenor, and Vanessa Holroyd. Special thanks to all our volunteers (especially Hercules Lobo and Laura Satterfield who sold raffle tickets all evening).
Generous donations from parents, local businesses, friends-of-Thacher, and staff provided an abundance of entertainment and prizes
. Most party-goers went home with a bottle of wine from the ever-popular wine-pull; one lucky winner won a rare $500.00 bottle!
Erich Doubek's clever graphic designs captured everyone's attention, and class projects (organized by parents and created by students) provided the
pièce de résistance, making the party a true community-building event.

Summer is just around the corner and the end of the school year means the beginning of summer fun! This year, Thacher has an exciting lineup of summer programs for Toddlers through Adolescents.

Parent Meeting

We are pleased to announce that
Dr. Sharon Maxwell
will join us once again to guide the Upper Elementary students through her
Sexual Health and Responsibility Curriculum
-- and to provide this review for parents. She will be joined by her daughter, Chelsea Maxwell.
While this meeting is specifically for parents of Upper Elementary students, all Thacher parents are welcome to attend. We will meet in the UEB classroom.

where there will be photos with Snoopy, a raffle, and lots of snacks for sale.
Doors open at 5:45 pm and the movie starts at 6:15 pm. Children are to be accompanied by their parents for this event.
