Parking Lot Safety
Thacher Montessori School's arrival and dismissal protocols are intentionally designed to ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff. When all comply, the process is expedited, and things go smoothly. The recent snow has narrowed the parking lot in places, and there are areas where only one car can pass. This is especially true by the front doors, where most vehicles have to stop to unload/load their child(ren).
To ensure the safety of our community, we ask that families remain in line and follow the typical traffic pattern in the parking lot--orange cones are strategically placed and must not be moved. We also ask that you remain patient and respectful of others as the ice, snow, and heavily-bundled children contribute to the length of time it takes for them to enter or exit their vehicles.
If you arrive early for your pick-up time, please park on the gravel or in a parking spot until your specific time and then re-enter the line. This allows room for those families who have an earlier time to maneuver around the curve with ease. If you have someone unfamiliar with the arrival/dismissal protocols delivering or picking up your child(ren), please inform them ahead of time of the procedures.
By working together, we ensure a safe and speedy process.
