Holistic Health and Wellness includes four core components that are inextricably linked and impact and influence one another daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly—the four components are physical, emotional, mental, and social. The challenge is identifying which component needs attention or correcting and developing a plan or “prescription” to mend it.
Physical Health: Includes Fitness, Physical Flexibility, Immune System, Diet, Hydration, Sleep, and Hygiene.
Emotional Health: How individuals identify their emotions and demonstrate the ability to navigate and regulate consistently.
Social Health: Includes social skills, building and maintaining relationships, and communicating effectively.
Mental Health: Includes critical thinking skills, problem-solving, feelings, and thoughts about oneself.
