Note from the Head of School

The first week of Thacher's mask-optional protocol is now behind us, and I'd like to thank families, students, and staff (masks on or off) for a seamless transition. It's been a long time since we were able to see those smiling faces!

Please be assured that we continue to monitor the COVID climate each week carefully and will keep you updated should we need to impose any new restrictions or relax any of the current protocols that remain in place.

Enjoy the first full weekend of Spring!

Warmly,

Deba Dunn
Head of School

UEB Ukraine Fundraiser
The UEB community is raising money for Ukrainian refugees. We are going to sell note cards designed by our class. Each piece of artwork has a national symbol of Ukraine on it. We are selling bundles of eleven cards for $25. Each bundle will include one design made by every student in our class. All money raised will go to UNICEF, a foundation dedicated to helping children.

We are accepting orders until April 1.

We thank you for your support.

The UEB community.

Please note - Students in UEA are also working on a Ukraine Fundraiser and will have more information to share soon.
Note From Nurse Carolynn

Happy Spring! We are ahead of schedule for those who suffer from seasonal allergies. If you or your child typically take a daily over-the-counter antihistamine such as Claritin, Zyrtec, or Allegra, you may want to start. These medications work best when taken every 24 hours instead of only when an individual is symptomatic.

With the arrival of spring, we also tend to see more ticks. Please be sure to check your child every day. The best prevention for the deterrence of a tick bite is a bug spray with DEET and covering exposed skin (which becomes more challenging when the weather gets warm). If you plan on using a bug spray, please apply before dropping your student off at school. Thank you.

Warm Regards,

Carolynn Moore BSN, RN
