Grandparents and Special Friends

Grandparents and Special Friends are invited for a delightful morning visit with their young relatives at Thacher Montessori School. We will begin with refreshments and a short program in the gym, followed by time in the classroom with their student host.

To honor the experience your child will have with their Grandparents or special friends and the limited space in the classroom, we respectfully request that parents not attend this event.

Date and Time

So that we may comfortably accommodate all of our guests, we ask that guests attend on the day that corresponds to the last name of the student they are visiting:

Thursday, May 11 | Child's Last Name: A-L

Children's House: 8:30 - 9:45 am

Elementary & Middle School: 10:15 - 11:30 am

Friday, May 12 | Child's Last Name: M-Z

Children's House: 8:30 - 9:45 am

Elementary & Middle School: 10:15 - 11:30 am

*Please note that the Toddler Progam does not participate in this event due to the disruption to their routine and their inability to separate.

RSVP for Grandparents & Special Friends Day

Family Movie Night | Friday, May 19, 6:00 pm

UE is hosting a fundraiser for a field trip by having a movie night on Friday, May 19, at 6:00 pm. The movie is Minions: Rise of Gru.

Food and snacks will be offered for sale (or you are welcome to bring your own) - doors open at 5:20 pm. All families are most welcome.

Yearbook Orders - deadline May 10

You have until May 10 to order a copy of the yearbook and create two free custom yearbook pages.

Thacher offers an exciting range of full-day Summer Programs and Aftercare for Toddlers through Middle School students from June 20 - August 11, 2023.

Class Parents

Visit the Thacher Family Network page on the school website for a complete list of Class Parents. Class parents facilitate communications within their class community, meet with other parents to share ideas, and support parent initiatives.

Hike in the Blue Hills with the Adults

Our next Blue Hills Hike to May 17. Meet in the parking lot across from school after drop off around 8:40 am. We hope to see you there!

Wake Up the Earth Festival | May 6, 12 - 5 pm

Join the celebration and parade at the 45th annual Wake Up the Earth Day in Jamaica Plain. LEA's Bennett Isenor and his mother will be performing at 2:00 pm.
