Note from the Head of School
Dear Thacher Families,

We enjoyed a wonderful Teacher Appreciation Week at Thacher!

THANK YOU to the TFN for organizing the appreciations benefiting all staff.

Children’s faces were aglow as they gifted flowers to teachers and assistants. Flower arrangements graced the school to brighten each day. A warm sunny Thursday provided a beautiful day for the outside set up of staff lunch. All enjoyed healthy sandwiches and two delicious salads (and cookies, yum). Being acknowledged and appreciated in such thoughtful ways is a reminder of the community bonds at Thacher.

Happy Mother’s Day weekend.

Warmly,

Deba
Note from Nurse Carolynn

Physicals need to be provided before your child's first day of Thacher's Summer Program or the beginning of the new school year. Documents can be scanned and emailed to me at [email protected] or brought to school. Please notify me if your child has any current health conditions, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Please note that all Thacher families must provide the following paperwork to the school nurse.

  • A copy of their most recent physical exam completed no more than one year ago, including all immunization dates, is signed by their physician. Most pediatric offices will refer to this as a school/camp form.

  • If your child is attending Thacher Summer Program, the physical form we have on file must be current (less than one year from the last exam)

  • If your child has an allergy or asthma, you must complete three forms annually. Two of the three must be completed by your pediatrician (Care Plan(s) and Medication Orders). The 3rd is the Parental Consent Form. You can find these forms on our website in the Nurses Corner.
AP Play - "Bottom of the Lake" | 5/24

Upper Elementary students will watch the dress rehearsal on May 24, and AP families are invited for an evening performance on May 26 at 6 pm. Admission is free - play lasts one hour with no intermission.

Plastic Recycling Program Over for Schoolyear

The Trex Plastic Recycling Program has concluded for the year. The Adolescent Program would like to thank the Thacher Community for helping to keep over 700 pounds of plastic out of landfills! The students also appreciate the volunteers' efforts who helped drop off the bags at local supermarkets for Trex pickups.

We look forward to resuming the program next year! Until then, find a plastic drop-off location near you by clicking here.
