Offer Action Steps to Increase Spokane's Housing Supply
The Counselors of Real Estate released its study Action Steps to Increase Spokane’s Housing Supply this week:
Over 30 local housing leaders, builders, developers, policy makers and elected officials in the Spokane region took part in the study.

The study reports “It is obvious from our findings that Spokane has a substantial housing shortage problem,” in making their assessment which identifies the “missing middle” housing problem in the Spokane region, and offers a series of solutions based on success stories from across the country.

Once online, use the Review and Pay Balance section to make your payment online.
Alternately, you may retrieve an invoice while online to pay by mail send to 1924 North Ash Street, Spokane WA 99205.

2022 First Quarter MLS Fees Due
|
1st Quarter MLS Fees for 2022 have been invoiced and posted to the SAR Member Portal.
Payment must be received on or before December 30, 2021.
|
To pay your 1st Quarter MLS Fees online, click on the button above, or go to the MLS Dashboard and click on the SAR Payments icon.
When paying online, please do not combine your Annual SAR Dues with your Quarterly MLS Fees.
These must be paid separately.

REALTOR® Code of Ethics
Are you ready for next year?
All REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training within three-year cycles. The current cycle ends December 31 this year.
316 SAR members have yet to complete NAR-required Code of Ethics training in this cycle.
If you remain out of compliance at the end of the year, your REALTOR® membership and MLS access will be turned off.

2022 Legislative Days
Registration Opens
Pre-register by noon on Thursday, January 13th - onsite registration will not be accepted!
We're excited to welcome WR members from all over Washington State back to Olympia for our annual event!
Due to Covid Safety Protocols, the event will look a little different this year.

We'll be holding several virtual committee meetings on Wednesday, January 12th, and Thursday, January 13th. Then, we'll hold our four CORE Committee Meetings on Wednesday, January 19th.
These meetings will be hybrid so you can join from the comfort of your home OR in-person. If you're attending in-person, join us on Wednesday, January 19th, at 6:30 p.m. for our Installation Banquet!
Due to restrictions at the Capitol Campus, we will not be holding in-person visits with Legislators on Thursday, January 20th (Hill Day). However, there is still a lot happening with real estate-related legislation, so you don’t want to miss Hill Day!
Instead, join us at the Olympia Hotel at Capitol Lake for a General Session event with guest speakers from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The SAR offers a full schedule of virtual classes to help members satisfy their professional development requirements to keep their REALTOR® status current.

Code of Ethics cycle ends
December 31, 2021
Your Code of Ethics status will appear in the top-left corner on your home screen if you've completed the class.
All brokers must take this class once every three years.
We're currently in the cycle 1/1/2019-12/31/2021.
Please note for new agents, completing your first two-year renewal, you must first take the 7.5-hour Code of Ethics and Fair Housing class, within 3 months of joining the SAR, and then you will be eligible for ethics training of not less than three hours of instructional time during the next two-year cycle.
The NAR Code of Ethics Class offered at the SAR is a 3.5-hour class called "Code of Ethics for Real Estate Professionals".
Your membership will be suspended, until the class is completed, if this requirement is not met.

THIS CLASS REQUIRES A SPEAKER & YOU TO BE ON CAMERA. BE PREPARED!
Two day Zoom class - both days required

8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 13th
8:30 a.m. - Noon
This mandatory course will include: An introduction and discussion of intentions, goals, and purposes in properly completing the new Purchase & Sale Agreement; the deposit, parties and property; financing and the financing contingencies, title insurance and transfer and inspections; representations and disclosure; and remaining provisions.
This class must be taken once every four years.

Class Cancellation Policy:
A refund will be granted until 3:30 p.m. three days prior to the class, after which time there will be a 50% refund.
Anyone not showing up for class will not be given a refund.
