Condolences
|
The SAR Sends its condolences to the family and friends of
Vern Byrd who passed away peacefully at home on
January 29th.
Vern was a prominent leader in Spokane commercial real estate, the man behind Vern Byrd and Associates, now known as Byrd Real Estate Group.
A Rosary will be held tonight (Friday, February 7th) from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and a vigil service will begin at 7 p.m.
Both services will be held at Gonzaga Prep's Chapel of the Three Companions at 1224 Euclid Ave.
A Funeral Mass will be held on
Saturday, February 8, at 3:30 p.m. at St Joseph Parish in Colbert at 3720 E Colbert Rd., followed by a reception in the St. Joseph Parish Hall.

SAR Governmental Affairs Brief

A New Construction Tax and Housing Infill top this week's conversations.
We are one-third of the way through this year's legislative session.
This week was a hectic one, as today -
Friday, February 7th - is the final day for bills to come out of committee is today.
A record 1,700 bills were introduced this session, with several key bills of importance to REALTORS.
For the most part, if a bill is not out of the policy committee by the end of today, then it is deemed "dead."

THANK YOU to the 651 SAR members who participated in the association's Member Satisfaction Survey at the end of last year.
Four participation prizes were offered to members as incentives to complete the survey.
