All 39 Washington State counties
are paused where they are in the Safe Start Washington program for at least two weeks due to concerning state-wide coronavirus numbers.
This means no county will be advancing from its current phase until at least
July 28th.
"I'm extending the pause on our phased approach to reopening through at least July 28th. COVID-19 is continuing to spread in Washington. Counties will pause in their current phases until it's responsible to resume reopening.
This virus isn't going away on its own. We have to beat it."
--Governor
Jay Inslee, quoted from his official social media channels on Tuesday 7/14 - the day of the pause.

Spokane County
remains in Phase 2 of the governor's Safe Start Recovery Plan.
Each county's status is based on five risk assessment areas: COVID-19 activity, testing, healthcare system readiness, case investigations and contact tracing, and the protection of populations at higher risk.
You can check the status of any county, any time, on the state's COVID-19 Risk Assessment Dashboard,
online here.

NEW!
Washington REALTORS® Legal Hotline lawyer
Annie Fitzsimmons is on a mission to answer all the questions on the Designated Broker Wish List.
We asked DBs around the state to submit their questions to her via email so she could address them and share them as a Friday Video.
TODAY'S QUESTION:
"When a buyer has a form 22A (Financing Addendum) in the transaction and their loan is declined, but they still have a couple of weeks before closing, can they use the Decline Letter from the first lender in case they don't get the second loan closed in time?"
If you or your Designated Broker would like to have a question addressed, email [email protected].
Here's Annie's new video - it runs about seven minutes:

SAR 3rd Grade Essay/Poster Contest
|
NEW!
The Spokane Association of REALTORS® is pleased to announce the winners of its 3rd Grade Essay/Poster Contest for 2020 on the theme "What my home means to me."
This annual event attracts dozens of students from public and private elementary schools throughout Spokane County.
This year's contest included a new challenge of coordinating the creation and submission of the entries during a global pandemic when local schools were closed to in-person classes.
The association particularly appreciates the additional effort both teachers and students put forward to make this year's contest such a success.
Thank you to all who entered and our SAR committee members who judged them - and congratulations to our contest winners!
