Revised Statewide Forms

Available Now!

On July 1, 2019, many of the statewide forms were revised.

The good news is ... life as you know it (and the way you use the forms) did not change as a result.

The even better news is that the statewide forms are improved, enabling you to deliver even better results for your clients.

The information below will explain the form revisions, almost all of which occurred within the boilerplate.

You can also reference the NWMLS Forms Revision Bulletin 2019.

If you have questions related to any of the forms revisions and you are a REALTOR® member, submit your questions to the Washington REALTORS® Legal Hotline lawyer: [email protected].

SAR History on Display

Members in Congress typically decorate their offices with artifacts from their home districts, to remind them of home and the people whom they represent.

The SAR presented its Member in Congress with two pieces of Spokane history, this week - a framed fine art print of early downtown Spokane and a copy of Spokane: Our Early History - both commissioned by the SAR for its centennial in 2011.

Pictured in photo above, left to right: Tom Clark, SAR President-elect; Gina Mosey, 2019 SAR President; Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers; Terry Sullivan, SAR Federal Political Coordinator.

Not Enough Homes

The July-August edition of REALTOR® magazine is just out with a cover story on inventory: Not Enough Homes.

The U.S. is about 2.5 million units short based on long-term growth projections, Freddie Mac estimates.

Laurie Goodman, vice president of housing finance policy at the Urban Institute, calls the housing shortage a crisis.

The Institute has found a shortfall of about 350,000 units per year due to underbuilding since 2009.

The result will be "a huge deficit in housing over the next decade," she says.

NAR is just out with a new infographic, The Housing Shortage in Perspective - Why Inventory has been Shrinking.

Reports of real estate-related email phishing scams jumped 1,100% between 2015 and 2017, according to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

The CFPB estimates a loss of nearly $1 billion in real estate transactions from such scams.

Aaron Cole of Canby, Oregon (pictured above), fell prey to a wire fraud scheme through which he lost the down payment that took his family years to save.

Now he's helping real estate pros protect their clients against cyber scams.

"Imagine the Possibilities" is the theme for this year's event.

The tagline and design concept is meant to be inspirational and fun.

It connects with San Francisco's culture and vibe - both past and present - in that the city has been (and continues to be) known for opportunity and innovation.

This is also what attendees can expect at this year's event - the opportunity to obtain innovative tools that will enhance their businesses.

IMAGINE what four days can do for you!
