RPAC: Scream

NEW!

Never before has there been a greater need for the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC).

Our very livelihood during the last year with Covid-19 and continuing on has been dependent on the relationships we built long before this crisis happened. Legislation is constantly moving, changing and evolving.  Our peer volunteers that make up RPAC need us.  It's time we have their backs!

Think of the nightmare that exists in a parallel universe without RPAC - it would cause you to scream - like in this video:

A Scary Time for REALTORS®
A Scary Time for REALTORS®

To reiterate the importance of RPAC, consider the following:
  • On the local scene, every one of our Spokane area REALTOR® champions we supported after the primary races has been elected.
  • On the state level, Washington (RPAC) members have repeatedly been instrumental ensuring REALTORS® remain on the Governor's "Essential Services" list.
  • On the national scene, Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act that helps REALTORS® with unemployment benefits - employee retention tax credits - and SBA forgivable loans under the Paycheck Protection program.
In the words of the Wa REALTOR® President Tom Hormel (from Spokane!) "RPAC gives us a seat at the table, rather than be on the menu - with elected public officials and REALTOR® candidates."

We will make it through these difficult times together.

Help us continue to fight for you!

NEW!

Washington REALTORS® Legal Hotline attorney Annie Fitzsimmons is joined by John Manning, the Designated Broker of RE/MAX On Market, in part four of the series called: "Negotiating Real Estate Transactions."

In previous videos, Annie and John explain the four pillars (Communication/Relatedness, Professional Credibility; Promise of Trust; and Clarity of Outcome) for brokers on both the seller's and buyer's side of the transaction.

In this video, Annie and John role play a scenario so you can see the application of these pillars in action.

Median Home Price Surges

NEW!

Spokane County's median home price showed little signs of slowing in May as it reached another all-time high - $375,000.

The median closing price last month was 29.5% greater than the $289,900 median in May 2020, according to the Spokane Association of Realtors.

Real estate agents say the upward surge of area home prices likely will continue as long as interest rates remain low and buyer demand continues to outpace housing supply.
