Instead of events happening all on one day, this year's events are being scheduled between August 27th and October 1st - all online.

The early edition of the program includes an impressive list of speakers and topics and promises to engage on a number of important aspects of the law.

NAR Conference & Expo Fully Virtual

  FULLY VIRTUAL

The National Association of Realtors® announced Wednesday that the 2020 REALTORS® Conference & Expo, previously scheduled from November 13-16 in New Orleans, will be transitioned to a fully virtual format in light of ongoing health and safety concerns stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Your association maintains warm and frequent contact with journalists around the city - when events impact real estate, we get in touch with them and they get in touch with us.

When the nation's largest trade association moves its national conference online because of COVID-19, Amy Edelen with The Spokesman-Review knew that was a story.

Spokane-area Realtors planning on attending their national association's annual conference in New Orleans later this year won't get that opportunity.

The National Association of Realtors is canceling its annual conference and expo, transitioning to a virtual format to ensure the safety of its members during the coronavirus pandemic, the trade association announced Wednesday.

About 15 to 20 area Realtors attend the national conference every year, said Tom Clark, president of the Spokane Association of Realtors.

"Unfortunately, we will miss some of the banquets and things like that, but the education opportunities and various meetings with committees and the association can take place virtually," Clark said.

NEW!
Real estate gets the cover of the Inlander, this week (pictured above).

The newspaper asks: Is now a good time to build, buy or sell a house?

As people around the world were told to stay home and shelter in place this spring, home sales around the country took a dramatic dip, with the nation seeing its largest month-to-month decline in sales since the fallout from the Great Recession.

For a few short days after Gov. Jay Inslee shut down restaurants, bars and most "nonessential" businesses in mid-March, it didn't even look like realtors would be allowed to show clients homes, says Tom Clark, president of the Spokane Association of Realtors.

"We were dead in the water for like three days, and then came back on like a life support system," Clark says.

The National Association of REALTORS® is taking orders now - for August delivery - for REALTOR®-branded bottles of antibacterial gel (pictured below)

The offer is for one case (price depends on quantity); each case includes 100 bottles; each bottle contains a half ounce of moisture-bead, FDA approved, antibacterial gel.

The bottle features the REALTOR® logo in blue on a white label.
