2023 SR Legacy of Service Award |
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2023 SR Legacy of Service Award.
This award is created as a "Lifetime Achievement" award to honor those REALTOR® members who are respected in our profession by colleagues and serve our profession through various Association committees.
Additionally, this award honors those who spend the majority of their years as active REALTORS® mentoring newer members, helping to define regulations within our field, all the while giving back to the community.
Nominations are due Friday, April 14th.
The 2022 SR Legacy of Service Award will be presented at the SR Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, May 17th.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2022 Gary Fox Memorial Designated/Managing Broker Award.
This award recognizes a Designated Broker or Managing Broker who serves as an example of loyalty, ethical behavior, and leadership in the real estate profession.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2023
Eddy Education Award.
The Eddy Education Award symbolizes the importance of quality education by promoting REALTOR® professionalism. Award winners could have contributed through committee work, course development, program development, teaching, assisting in course delivery, or other activities deemed appropriate that contribute to real estate education.
Nominations are due Friday, April 14th.
The 2023 Eddy Education Award will be presented at the SR Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, May 17th.

2023 Hugh Hawkins Education Award |
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2023 Hugh Hawkins Education Award.
The Hugh Hawkins Education Award recognizes excellence in real estate teaching. It will be given to the instructor who best reflects the values and skills that Hugh Hawkins brought to the classroom and the industry. Accordingly, the Awards Committee will consider not just the instructor’s teaching style, but also the extent to which those nominated for the Award imparted information in a way that influences their students, i.e., the extent to which students were inspired to change their behavior and/or the way they do business as well as their commitment to Education.
Nominations are due Friday, April 14th.

NAR’s Spire program helps individuals learn the fundamentals of the real estate industry, fosters education, empowers serious consideration of real estate as a career path, and cultivates the development of generational wealth through property ownership.
Mentees will gain access to live virtual events and experts involved in residential real estate, commercial real estate, land, administrative roles, property management and more.
Mentors will provide mentees with one-on-one guidance, in-person networking advice, and a personalized perspective.

2023 SR Committee Chairs and Vice-chairs Learn Best Practices |
2023 SR Committee Chairs and Committee Vice-chairs met at the Hive, (The Hive® is a non-traditional library centered around arts education and free, public event space) this week, for a half-day retreat around best practices when chairing a committee.
With a new association name, new building signage, and a new brand identity package - as well as a new DEI Committee helping to engage us more broadly with the community - our committee work will be more important than ever this year.

SR committee meetings are always open to association Members (though only committee members may vote on matters before that committee).

Baby Boomers Overtake Millennials as Largest Generation of
Home Buyers

"Baby boomers have the upper hand in the homebuying market," said Dr. Jessica Lautz, NAR deputy chief economist and vice president of research.
"The majority of them are repeat buyers who have housing equity to propel them into their dream home – be it a place to enjoy retirement or a home near friends and family.
