Our grand prize winner not only fell in love with the house at the open house, but they bought it!

She asked me the address (as they did look at a couple over the weekend) and she said that was their lucky house.
I would definitely agree!

Just wanted to let everyone know!

Thank you all for all of your hard work putting this together!"

Opportunity Zones

NEXT WEEK!
Thursday, May 16
1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Learn how the creation of Opportunity Zones open opportunities for businesses, investors, and property owners.

An Opportunity Zone is an economically-distressed community where new investments, under certain conditions, may be eligible for preferential tax treatment.

The City of Spokane and the University District Development Association will present, and take questions on, Opportunity Zones at this community workshop.

Back It Up!

Agents and brokers are typically extraordinarily busy during this time of year, driven by a surge in market activity and deal-driven deadlines.

If backing up your hard drive keeps getting pushed down your "To Do" list, it's time to make sure you automate this process completely.

The good news is you don't have to back up the data on your hard drive manually.

That's the least efficient way to save data.

And the best news: the options to back it all up are now easier to set up, faster to accomplish, and less expensive than they have ever been.

Third Grade Essay/Poster Contest

SAR photo

The SAR Third Grade Essay/Poster Committee joyfully announces the winners of its 2019 contest - which were displayed at the SAR Awards Luncheon, this week.

Pictured above, left to right: Riley, Sunrise Elementary - First Place; Alli, Great Northern School - Third Place; Maddie, Meadow Ridge Elementary - Fourth Place (not pictured - poster held by Glen Carey, SAR Third Grade Essay/Poster Contest Committee Chair); Kinzie, Chattaroy Elementary - Second Place.

First Place

FIRST PLACE (pictured above)
Riley - Sunrise Elementary
My home is very special. It keeps me safe and warm. It keeps me from the rain, snow, and hail. When I'm home, it's like a blanket. This is what my home means to me.

Second Place

SECOND PLACE (pictured above)
Kinzie - Chattaroy Elementary
My home is special because your best memories are there. My family also supports me when I have rough days at school. In my room I have a playful pup. She loves to wrestle and play. Sometimes I let her sleep with me. I know my is my home sweet home.

Third Place

THIRD PLACE (pictured above)
Alli - Great Northern School
My home means so much to me because I grew up there. There are a lot of memories and history in my house. My house is full of laughter and love. My house is very important to me because when I am in my house I know my two sisters and parents love me. And that's all that matters.

Fourth Place

FOURTH PLACE (pictured above)
Maddie - Meadow Ridge Elementary
My home is a fun place to be loved and to laugh. If someone is sad the blues is wiped out of them in no-time. My family loves me no matter what. Me and my sisters go in our backyard and swing together while telling jokes. Sometimes we laugh so hard we can't breathe. My home is very important.

The 1st Place winner receives an ice cream party for his/her classroom.

We offer a special thank you to Ben & Jerry's for generously donating the Ice Cream Party!

The SAR Membership Committee was convened for the first time, this week, by chair Kristy Hamby (pictured above).

This new committee was created by the vote of members earlier this year to split the Communications / Member Services committee into two separate committees.

The new committee is charged with informing members of the benefits of association membership, advising new member orientation and onboarding, and managing the annual REALTOR® awards.

If you'd like to find out more about SAR membership and how to best communicate its value to members, please join the committee's next meeting - Wednesday, June 26th, at 12:30 p.m. at the SAR.

2019 REALTORS® Conference & Expo

"Imagine the Possibilities" is the theme for this year's event.

The tagline and design concept is meant to be inspirational and fun.

It connects with San Francisco's culture and vibe - both past and present - in that the city has been (and continues to be) known for opportunity and innovation.

This is also what attendees can expect at this year's event - the opportunity to obtain innovative tools that will enhance their businesses.

IMAGINE what four days can do for you!
