FRIDAY, May 22nd
1:30 p.m.
LIVE on Zoom
2020 SAR President
Tom Clark welcomes Washington REALTORS® Legal Hotline attorney
Annie Fitzsimmons to the Round-table today as we begin our conversations about Phase 2 of re-opening Washington State from the governor's Stay Home, Stay Healthy order.
For properties - Phase 2 Easing applies to the location of a property, so if you are a broker for a property in Stevens County, for example, you're there! If you are a broker for a property in Spokane County, you're not there yet.
For brokerages - Phase 2 Easing applies to the location of that brokerage, so if your office is in Spokane County, your office is not yet approved to open for business - your virtual office must continue.

LAST WEEK'S ROUNDTABLE
2020 SAR President
Tom Clark and 2020 YPN President
Matt Side convened our 8th Round-table discussion with SAR Governmental Affairs Director
Darin Watkins, this past Friday, with a conversation about Phase 2 easing from the governor's
Stay Home, Stay Healthy order -
that includes REALTORS®.
At the Round-table with our distinguished panel was
Bob Lutz, MD, the Public Health Officer with Spokane County Health District.
Dr. Lutz offered some valuable advice for REALTORS® just as the state was being shut down.
Now, as we plan to open up again, we check back with Dr. Lutz to learn what new advice he has for REALTORS®.
See the video of this past Friday's Round-table, online here - it lasts 45-minutes:

Phase 2 Easing
PENDING for SPOKANE COUNTY
Washington State Governor Jay Inslee announced Tuesday, this week, that Spokane County may apply for Phase 2 status as part of his recovery plan under the
Stay Home, Stay Healthy order.
The county has applied; a response from the governor is expected soon.
This is slightly sooner than his previous announcement that Phase 2 could begin statewide on
June 1st.
Approved Phase 2 counties are permitted to conduct limited commercial real estate activities.
Also, real estate offices in Phase 2 counties may re-open to the public pursuant to specific guidelines that will be issued very soon.
Phase 2 county applications will be approved based on various data points including, but not limited to, the number of new Covid-19 infections.
To date, this review and decision process is completed within a week, which means that many counties will be permitted to engage in Phase 2 activities in the very near future.
NEW!
WHEN PHASE 2 IS PERMITTED brokers will be able to conduct real estate business in Washington state IF they comply with five pages of requirements.
The governor's proclamation from Tuesday (5/19) and list of requirements are offered here:

Washington REALTORS® Legal Hotline attorney, Annie Fitzsimmons, offers a new video to share where we are - as a state - in Phase 2 easing.

NEW!
Our new reality is reframing what it means to be together.
Our home is everything now.
It's our office. It's our gym. It's our children's classroom and their playground. Our new restaurant is our kitchen.
We've had to invent new ways to love, and new ways to spend time together. We've had to rethink how we do business, and what is essential, and remake our space out of pixels, so we can still create something new when every day feels the same.
That's Who We R.
