Every lover with a heart that loves Baba is a center."

Dear Meher Center Family and Friends,

Much love from Meher Center. A few reminders about upcoming virtual programs:

As part of Meher Center’s celebration of Amartithi this year, we are presenting a virtual gathering that will include a talk by Rick Chapman, who was present at Meherabad when Beloved Baba’s body was covered in 1969. It will begin at 8:00 p.m. EST on the night of Amartithi here in the West—Wednesday, January 31st—and it will include some surprise musical guests as well as rare photographic imagery from that time.

We are also very excited to announce that the Center will be hosting ongoing virtual programs for the wider Baba community. We are starting with a virtual program entitled ‘Meher Baba Questions and Answers,' focused on Meher Baba’s life and message, on the first Sunday of every month, beginning February 4th at 5 p.m.

Additionally, on the third Sunday of each month beginning February 18th at 5 p.m., the Center will present a ten-session virtual program entitled “Meher Baba of Ahmednagar: His Life In Historical Perspective.” This program will be presented by Jamie Newell, a follower of Meher Baba and professor of religious studies.

For more information on the above programs including the Zoom links to log in, please visit our Virtual Programs page. None of the virtual programs need prior sign up, just come to be with Baba!

In Baba's love and service,

"To teach us for our own good"

Faredoon Driver, nicknamed “Padri” by Baba, joined the Master in 1922 when he was eighteen years old and remained with Him for the rest of his life. Baba had Padri oversee much of the construction and maintenance at Meherabad, calling him one of "the Four Pillars of Meherabad." In the 1960s and 70s, many pilgrims to Meherabad found the stalwart, exacting, humorous, loving Padri to be an inspiring example of a life lived solely for Baba. But in this snippet of conversation, Padri focuses back on the early 1920s, when he and the Mandali were “absolutely raw” and Baba was a “stern taskmaster” teaching them obedience—including these two lessons that Padri never forgot.
